I was just wondering your thoughts on carb intake per day. I know it will vary greatly between individuals based on gender, height, weight, and so forth. But, if you a had a rule of thumb what would it look like.

What do you all consider low carbs (150gms. and lower)? Moderate Carbs (150 - 250gms)? High Carbs (250 and higher)?

I would consider under 100 grams a day to be low. Moderate would be around 250 to 300 and high would be 400 or more.

This is something that goes by bodyweight. 1gram times bodyweight in pounds = moderate minus 10 or 20 grams. 1.5 and higher = high. .5 and less = low. Age and how your body handles carbs would change your low/moderate/high. Just like how heavy is relative so are carbs.

I would give another vote for 100g and lower to be low carb, but even at 100g most wont hit ketosis. So it really depends on each persons idea of what being on a low carb diet means. Does it mean lower carbs or trace carbs.

Back in the "BodyOpus" days, I would be below 50 for low carb and over 300 for CarbUp on Weekend.

How did u like the bodyopis? Tried it once with success. how about your experience? Not trying to hi-jack guys...LOL

low carb is when you're flat after 2-3 days of "low carbs" and can't get a decent pump in the gym, weights seem heavier, tired easily... etc

Moderate carbs is when you get a good pump, strength is great, you look leaner, but you don't get those crazy ass pumps in the gym and you are quite 'dry'

High carb is when you look 'watery', weights go up above the usual, get crazy pumps, but you still don't like how you look because you look 'fatter'

really high carbs is when you get so bloated you look pregnant, you feel tired all the time and start getting fat, you go 5 hours without food and you still feel full

that's how i see it... i don't think you can put numbers on it.

That is a good way to think about it and put it.
