Had the opportunity this weekend to hang out with my IFBB Pro friend Jimmy Mentis , Lee Apearsen and Dexter Jackson. The all told me that the pros are no longer using SLIN. They just can not get ripped up on it. They also told me taht before you start a cycle like 750mg/wk Test, 600mg/wk EQ you should do 50mg/ EOD of Winny. They said you should do this for 2-3 weeks . The anabolic will get eveything geared up for the big push. Any of you start this way?
 
Id like to hear more on the winny thing and the reasoning behind it. I know Winny lowers SHBG by almost 50%, hence raising your free test levels. If your only using it for 2-3 weeks to jump start, the effects on SHBG wouldnt be present for the remainder of the cycle. What does winny do that gets you "geared up for the big push"?
 
I have been hearing the slin thing for a while now. It is because it creats so much new fat tissue deep down between the muscle fibers that when a athlete diets down he no longer gets that deep separation.

I would assume one could still use it by trying to avoid getting fat as hell on it so one does not create the new fat tissue.

I think thats the key just try to avoid added ANT extra fat.

Yes thats what Jimmy said. Now 3 years ago every pro was on slin but now it is not being used as much. He also said that if you are going to use slin make sure your diet is sharp as hell . No room for any fat consumption. And most pros not watch as close as you think alot of the time.

This is certainly interesting but it contradicts my experience with slin, big time. I would wonder if they were refering to longer use of slin - over years instead of a few preps. ??

Jimmy and Dexter said that they found it much more difficult to get dry and shreded with slin. They both said they would never use it off season because of to much fat accumulation and gettig lean was much easier without slin. They said only one or two pros still use. And both of them have become isulin dependent.

thats what I was thinking are they talking about doing R in the mornning and post workout later that day? because if you just take LOG post workout and dont eat any fat for 6 hours I just dont see how that could be a problem.

Myself I only do it for 3 weeks at time and post workout only

If they are refering to the last few days before a show while loading, I agree 100%. I am talking primarily of using slin postworkout at different times during the prep phase. I just don't see this happening.

I am bothered by the last statement, though.

no one tells their secrets if they got ones worth a shit

i know a lot of the inner circle shit and just be lucky if you get what i would say is 'notyhing' advice as sometimes they will give ya flat out bad advice

i have read and heard alot about dnp before a cycle not winny though.has anyone heard of this theory on how its suppose to upregulate receptors somehow. R LEA has mentioned it in his writings.

what do u guys think about people who run high mg test?? like 2grams a week. ive seen guys at the gym who cant afford gh but take high test and are ripped, but have huge guts. talked to one guy running 4grams a week and his stomach is disgusting.
 
4grams a week is disgusting in itself.

i assume he just feels it is excessive and abusive

not an uncommon dose for those at the higher echelon though--although not all

honestly that is nothing--tip of the iceberg
and many guys in the classic era (~70s) who displayed smaller waists in general still used sim,liar doses, but no one is adding those 40-60 pounds above what thiose guys carried without some gut bloat--just near impossible--especially while massin and gorging kcals
