Where to test / analyze protein powder?

I've received a questionable batch of protein from a popular manufacturer, and they did not answer my repeated emails as to why it contains something in there that I've never experienced from any other powder before.

So, I'm going to send it to be tested.

Does anyone know where I can send it to get an analysis? I'm suspicious that there is an extra, unidentified substance in there. I also want to test for total protein / carbs / fats / etc.

I'll gladly post the results here when they are done, but I am not going to disclose the manufacturer, unless the issue is unresolved at the end of testing.

To clarify:

This is not from a sponsor from this board. This board has nothing but quality sponsors and suppliers and I would never question anything posted here. I support all of them!

Like I said, if this turns out to be a faulty / bad batch, I will attempt to resolve it directly with the party in question. If they do not resolve it, I will post the manufacturer here. But I'm hopeful that it's just a bad batch and they make good on what they sold to me.

Let us know the results. Any company who is passing off product that does not meet label claims or contains ingredients not listed needs to be exposed as publicly as possible.

I don't think you'll find a person on this board who wants to buy a mislabeled protein powder.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm going to give BodyCote a run and see what I come up with. I'm guessing a week or two, but I will post results.

And also, please note that I'm not accusing anyone, I just want to be sure that there is nothing unwanted in there. Either way, like I said, I'll post the results and if I'm wrong, I'll take the medicine and say "Paranoia should be avoided at all costs, unless you're right."

Don't worry about it, you suspect getting something you didn't pay for and ingesting stuff you don't want.

Have it analyzed, if it's bogus, you post the full results and that company will be exposed for being deceitful and ripping people off.

If it comes back accurate, you post those results and give that company props for meeting label claims and admit you were on a meth binge.

Seriously, all products need to be put to the test on a regular basis, props to you for stepping up. I stick with only a couple brands that I know are quality, I try to get the best price, but honestly, I want to get what I pay for first and foremost.
