How bad is the insulin spike from whey?? If one were to eat just whey and oatmeal for MAjority of diet, would they pack on fat cause of insulin spike from whey??
I'd have to say it depends on several factors. Your level of muscle glycogen stores. When you each such a diet (around training or not etc..) Generally if that is your whole diet you are not going to like the results and this is speaking outside of anything related to insulin spike. Your metabolism is going to be in the shitter, and that will play a bigger factor in getting fat than any insulin spike.

Don't worry about insulin spikes. It's about calories for the most part. Lots of guys have gotten diced eating rice cakes and those are reeeaaal fast carbs

I agree with you. I recently incorporated Phil's eat when hungry philosophy with Alex A's high protien, fast carb(white rice), low fat diet and I getting faster fatloss results than when I was doing ketosis diets or low carb/low glycemic diets. I feel a helva lot stronger and healthier too.
