what are your top picks? Theres a ton of good ones..

Heres some of mine:

dawn of the dead (Ive only seen the remake, but I love that the zombies sprint after them instead of walking)

amityville horror (another good remake..although the original is just as badass)

the descent (claustrophobia and darkness..sweet)

monster squad (not really horror but always loved this movie)

beetlejuice

interview with the vampire (one of the best vampire movies made)

sleepy hollow (different take on the headless horseman)

nosferatu (classic silent Dracula movie..he looks creepy as hell)

pet sematary (oh man this movie disturbed me when I was little lol)

darkness falls

salems lot (I forgot how damn creepy the vampires were in this)

jaws (we need a bigger boat)

Texas chainsaw massacre (originial one) (didnt care much for the remakes, the original is a classic)

Halloween series (original & remake) (rob zombies remake is cool for the back story, but the original is still the best)

sixth sense (well made story and a little disturbing before you get it)

return of the living dead (pretty funny for a zombie movie)

bram stokers dracula (another good Dracula movie..good fx for the time)

rosemarys baby

exorcism of emily rose (one of the first movies to truly freak me out when i watched it alone in the dark)

the exorcist (Im sure some people still have nightmares from this movie)

alien (one of the best, technically sci-fi but still has horror atmosphere)

nosferatu with bella legosi great movie. lost boys is a killer flick. hmmm dracula 2000, and darkness falls. darkness falls is not a great movie but i love it becouse the wife hates it gets freaked and cuddles up every time.

I am still traumatized from when I was a kid from those freaking flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz... Wait now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind having a few dozen of those at my command myself. Sweet.

I want to see "The Mist", I STILL have not seen that, so that may be one of my Halloween rentals. Anybody like that?

haha I thought I was the only one who was creeped out by the wizard of oz. Ive heard mixed reviews of the mist. It looks good though. I end up liking most movies that everyone else says is crap. Some people analyze them too much these days.

Silence of the Lambs. I could watch that movie everyday. Never gets old to me. I guess I like it because it is realistic compared to others.

the new lost boys beyond blows. the movie was cheesy and filled with bad acting. then theres the coreys wich really make it alot worse. just all around a movie that never should have been made. wizard of oz never botherd me but man ghost busters the refgrigerator scene. that messed with me so bad when i was a kid.

Beetle Juice ????

Here's one for the real old farts, The Tingler. Watched this one
when i was about 7 years old and to this day will never let my
arms or legs hang over the edge of the bed when I go to sleep.
If you've seen the movie you'll know why.:(

yeah that movie by tim burton, with michael keaton..not technically horror but I still like the strange creepiness about it. Like most Tim Burton movies. Was the tingler the one where that guy gets the electric chair?

The Tingler came out around 1959, Now if I can remember, it was about a
over sized shrimp looking creature that would crawl up your spine and
strangle you but if you screamed it would take off. Not sure about the
guy in the electric chair but I fadely remember a women lying in bed
with her arm hanging over the edge and suddenly someone came out
from beneath with a hax saw and took it off. scared the shit out a me

: my older brother told me that the flying monkeys were really guys who had their legs amputated so that they could be in teh movie.. i freaked the hell out and asked my father.. he said it was true and the producers got into trouble ect ect.. hell i was 7 or so and i could not get that out of my head for days.. it really troubled my sensitive soul  ;) .. they told me later that they were kidding.. too late.. the damage was done... to this day when i see that movie i freak when the frickin' monkeys come on..

Speaking of the Wizard of Oz, how about the guy who hung himself
as they were shooting the seen where they met the lion and was never
edited out. Next time you see the movie when they all start walking
towards the woods look in the far background and you'll see what
appears to be a guy standing on a chair then jumping off.

I thought the motham prophecies was a great show...that one kinda creeped me out.

some others

Evil Dead, the first one
Army Of Darkness (Give me some suger baby!)
Shaun of the dead
American werewolf in London
Rocky horror
anything with young girls being possessed
and anything with Rosie O'donnell

I just want to check ur goofin' about this, before I waste bandwidth downloading the bloody Wizard of Oz...?

In Hoppity Goes to Town, where the other 2 bugs put Hoppity inside the envelope with the "cheque thing", that scared me when I was young and I had nightmares someone might put ME in an envelope and leave me to suffocate. True story. ;)

The XXX-orcist is a good quality porno. "Your mother sucks cocks in hell, but not as good as me!!!" *slurp* *slurp*

Oh and The Mist was great, no matter what anyone else says.

No I'm dead serious, My girlfriend has the special anniversay addition
on cassette tape, comes with a booklet explaining all the behind the
scenes filming. took me a while to find it. And it does look like someone
jumping off a chair. By the way, what was even scarier then that, they had
a hard time keeping the Munchkins sober :p The little bastards would
constantly show up drunk.

The original "Night of the living dead" God I'll never forget that..I go to the drive in with my girlfriend and watch this movie..Then i drop her off that night and drive home..I get out of the car and see some old man walking down the sidewalk that looked just like one of those freaks..Scared the shit out of me and I ran as fast as I could into the house..

ew evil dead i forgot that one. the cellar scene gave me nightmares as a kid. the place i was living at the time had a basement that looked very similar. had to go down there to do laundry or what not yeashk.
