While my wife was grocery shopping today I looked thru the vitamins/supplements in the health section. I started adding up the price of all the supps I thought were important to me...came out to $365. Decided to stay with

Vit C
Creatine
Glutamine
Arganine
Milk Thistle
DHEA
CLA
L-carnatine

My question for the board is
Considering health, recovery, performance, etc What is YOUR list of supplements that you consider must-haves while on cycle?

fish or salmon oil
Multi-vit if dieting
 
considering price/effectiveness half of those you mentioned are still pretty useless.
i stick to:
-multivitamin/-mineral (with low calcium content since i get too much from my diet anyway) (about 200% rda of anything else a day, split upon waking, PWO and before bed with meals)
-fish oil (1.5g pure omega 3s a day)
-vitamin C (1-2g a day, but hard to tell since i use powder)
-baby aspirin post workout about every other training day (read something about increased bone density when using aspirin post workout, but decreased bone density if used at other times of the day, something to do with prostaglandin secretion or whatever)
-occasionally magnesium when i get cramps too often
-EDIT: forgot that i also use a lot of cinnamon, tastes great in my morning coffee and many health benefits

imo these are the best bang for your buck.
interested in resveratrol and stuff along these lines aswell, but theyre pretty unknown here in germany at the time.

besides from these, do lots of cardio, eat lots of veggies and fruit to stay healthy.

Must haves for me are lots of food and lots of pussy. I've never bought any of that gnc stuff. Waste IMO. Spend that money on more anabolics.
 
I prefer to get the majority of those vitamins from dietary sources, especially the antioxidants (vit C)

Fat soluble Vitamin D and A I supplement with, and I'll run fish oils when I think to buy them, but otherwise I keep it pretty simple. Maybe I'm missing out somewhere, but I try to eat a well rounded diet to compensate. I've spent enough on supplements through the years...

No offense, but, your list is way off in my opinion.
Fish oil for health and creatine for performance all of the others can go. Maybe keep the milk thistle if your liver values get elevated.
Definitely stop wasting your money on l-carnitine, cla, arginine, dhea, glutamine.

You should keep the l-carnitine if it is injectable. But I doubt it is.
 
Just a multi and fish oil essential 4 me....I like coQ10 now too but I don't see as essential

If my diet isn't including fruits and veggies during the day, multivitamin is usually all.

imo, CARDIO will save you a ton of money on supps.

NAC is all I would really take on cycle. my liver enz are always elevated.

I can control cholesterol/bp with cardio and diet. I do take niacin but not consistently.

I eat salmon everyday otherwise I'd probably take fish oil.

there are a couple of recent threads on this started by blackstang and Knight9.

you should check them out.
 
Honestly I gave up on suppliments a long time ago and really focused my resources on food. Lots of food. I am happier, my bank account likes it better and my appearance is the best it's ever been
 
NOW ADAM multi and super antioxidants, juice from MLG, research chems from MP, and whatever protein powder is handy and tastes decent.

And raw free range eggs is about all I try to get.

I don't feel all the other shit in magazine ads do anything, and I'm pretty good at eating the right stuff.
