In September we had just over 59 million page views on ProMuscle, with 1,001,112 unique users! Of course, some people have rotating ip's, so probably you are looking at 1/2 to 2/3 that figure for genuine unique people.
There are a few ideas that I am toying in my head with to make this place even better and expand this concept.
As you know, most top pros don't have contracts any more and they are all dying to score any kind of $ from anywhere. Since Weider was sold last year, all pros contracts were terminated on 31st of December 2003 by the new owners.
I can pay all the pros that I choose to, including the ones that we already have here, as a contract to be active members on the board. Something in the area of $5k - $10k per month each.
The contracts would stipulate that they would be fully active members.
Imagine getting any kind of advice you wish, including gear, from people like Ronnie Coleman, Kevin Levrone, Cutler, Gunter, Dexter, etc, etc.?
I can stipulate in the contracts that ProMuscle is the only board that they can actively participate on, so that way you guys can have the entire benefit to pick their brains, etc.
And they will have to say everything because it will be in their contracts to do so.
Next thing I want to do is to create a ProfessionalMuscle magazine.
To all you hawks out there, the name is already beeing registered and trademarked accross the whole globe, so don't try to think that you can take advantage of this situation!
Anyway, I have already organised some of the best writers, editors and photographers in the world as well as I have the printing comapny and distribution networks accross the world in place.
The magazine will be similar to the way that the ORIGINAL Muscle Media 2000 magazine was - totally uncensored.
The magazine will have the same format, writing about anything that you wish, getting imputs from all of you about what appears in it, etc.
It could even offer jobs for some of you.
As well, the ProMuscle featured member will have a full feature article in the magazine when they become featured member on the board for that month.
So the magazine will allow the featured members to get huge international publicity. And as you know, the featured member doesn't have to be a competitor, so it can give the non competitive members here an oportunity to be recognised in an international magazine. BTW, I intend to make that the best magazine in the world, the way that this board has become and will continue to be the best on the net.
And of course, the ProMuscle contracted pros will be appearing in our magazine exclusively.
As well, all these pros will be appearing at the ProMuscle booths accross the world at various expos such as the Arnold, FIBO, etc.
So basically, all the members of ProMuscle will have the oportunity to pick the brains of any top pros that they wish, to get to know them intimately and interact with them. And it will be for real, because these pros will be paid and it will be in their contracts to be actively participating - if they won't their contracts will be terminated.
On top of that, the ProMuscle members will have an input into what appears in the magazine each month as well as having the opportunity to themselves be featured in the magazine (full spread article, maybe even a cover shot) through the Featured Member contest each month.
To be able to finance all this, I need to make this board a pay board. I am only thinking $1/month. I know that I will lose probably at least half of the people since they won't want to pay, but even so, I will still be able to afford to do everything that I mentioned.
And 1 buck per month is nothing. People that will refuse to pay will be doing so on principle, nothing else. Because other pay boards charge up to $30/month and their content is crap.
Also, there will be enough funds available each month for me to hire techs to improve the board in many other ways such as proper article's sections, galleries of members and of gear, promotional sections, chat rooms, private chat rooms with the individual pros, etc.
Guests don't have to worry about anonimity issues, as I will set up the board in such a way that funds are collected and accounts are set up without any personal details having to be divulged, etc.
Plus remember, the boards ownership is located in a country where all this talk about steroids, etc is legal and as such there is no jurisdiction to get anyone's personal details.
So there you have it. I want as much input as possible on this for the next month, before I decide what will happen.
