I was reading the "muscle potentiation" thread and someone mentioned that during a max effort lift, impulses are sent to the muscle at about 100Hz. However, if you use an EMS device you can hit frequecies far beyond what you would be capable of producing natually.
Now, speed training is basically training of the nervous system where you attempt to increase the frequency at which your motor neurons fire during a max attempt. So would it be effective to use an EMS device to work on speed, perhaps set it to 150Hz for several sets of 3-5 second bursts?
