b/f calipers

The wife takes my b/f w/calipers 4 position (waist,scapula,bi,tri)numbers add up to 34...look up in chart says @ 43yrs old I'm @20%(I'm 6'0" 253). Next day I take the same position's w/the same calipers of a friend in the gym (he's way outta shape ) or so I thought...adds up to almost 60 look it up in the chart says @ 28 yrs old 20%b/f(he's 5'10" 218) ? Man, I'm confused ...how can we have the same b/f percentage? he looks like a bag of jello

That is true.

While you have the same BF% your BF is surrounding your organs because you are older, and your younger freinds BF is under the skin.

This is why BF % is better as a yard stick and not to compare people of different ages.

use 7 or 9-site formula...it will be more accurate by hitting more areas of the body....live near a college? go get underwater tested.
