I will look into these. I know many years ago there was an r-ala that came out that was superior to the regular ALA Llyle McDonald used to talk about, is that still what we should use or is regular ALA fine?You should check out SGLT - 2 Inhibitors . They were shown to be more effective than metformin in most cases. I have seen many anecdotal reports via reddit where people are reporting lower A1C after switching. Cardio and kidney protective , as well. Only issue is that they're way more expensive
Also , add alpha lipoic acid 400-600mg a day

Last night 2 hours after a meal at 2am 83
This morning at 9am I took 2 got 103 and 93
Slept in until 11 (still fasted) got 117/105
Interesting it rises further away from eating.
