Mother of two dies from too much protein before body building competition - - att.net

Last part scares me. Government regulating protein shakes too? :banghead:

"White believes the supplements and shakes were purchased online where there are not enough restrictions, which she wants to end.

“I know there are people other than Meegan who have ended up in hospital because they’ve overloaded on supplements,” White told PerthNow. “The sale of these products needs to be more regulated."

I'm tired of these people who think we need the govt to protect us from ourselves. She was tired and lethargic and pushed herself too far. In any sport that happens. Kid died the other day on football team carrying big log over head during practice. Log fell and hit him on head and he died. Should we find a way to regulate that. Guy other day died of heart attack running in 100 degree heat. Should we have laws making it illegal to run in certain temperatures. People die from pushing themselves too hard. Shit happens. So tired of this stupid must now regulate bullshit.

She had a rare genetic disorder which was the main driver of her death. The biggest part of the story.

Yep but they are rallying on idea she died from supplements. Not fact she had genetic disorder. So if i have celiacs disease and eat gluten loaded foods and die we should regulate gluten.

Yep that's the correlation. How silly uneducated people are. Just ignore them. They don't effect us or what we do.

If someone put "woman dies from rare genetic disorder" in the headline no one would read it. Put up a gym selfie of her and title it "Protein shakes kills bodybuilder" and it will get a million hits. Pretty sad.

Nevrmind the fact that she had a rare genetic disorder that probably would have killed her even if eating regular amounts of protein. And her MOM...thinks there isn't enough regulation on internet sold protein products:rolleyes: because we all know moms are the authority on this subject

Face the facts

I guess we have to face the facts.... every-time something happens to one of us in the BB biz the press is going to hammer the sport. They love to hate this sport! I think it is driven by envy?

Tragic for her and her family no doubt but it would appear she was trying not only to improve her health but trying to defeat a physical defect.

Driven by the feminine nature of America today. They want men to be women and women to be more like men and meet in the middle. Metro sexual males. Go to a trendy college bar these days and look at all the little ninny college boys acting like they're scared of their own shadow and the masculine natured girls who love them. I'm not joking. It's gotten insane. Body building is the ultimate masculine sport and they hate it.

So had she been eating whole food only would they list chicken breasts as the cause of death?
