Hello

I know when taking T3 that calcium supplementation is to be avoided within a certain window. Does anyone know if this applies for foods containing calcium too like whey, Greek yogurt etc?
 
While on t3, also curious if you guys have seen a difference in results/energy splitting the dose through the day vs all at once

Yes all calcium should be avoided. Take the t3 in the am upon awakening. I am on scripted Tirosint T4 gel caps. I take it upon awakening with distilled water. I was drinking purified water that had calcium in it and it was messing up my bloods.

i think this is more relevant for t4 intake. T3 intake does not even have to be fasted so i assume calcium has no effect on absorbtion

i assumed (and from my leaflet in thybon, prescribed) it says it can even be taken with food..

No, you can take T3 with food and supplements Bioavailability is +90%.

Thank you for speaking with authority on one of the myths that won't die. It's like guys want their T3 / T4 to be ineffective when they take it.

yeah, this is what i wrote above.
It says in my prescription t3 that timing (with or without food) doesnt matter.

Yeah, technically you COULD take T4 with food, but you have to compensate with a higher dosage to make up for it. The other issue is that certain foods, drinks or supplements will decrease absorption more/less than others, so if your breakfast is different, it could shift your numbers. That's why it's easiest to just stay fasted for 30 minutes before anything but water.
