I was online today and came across an older M&F article where Joey Galloway (when he was with the seattle seahawks) said he could bench 405 for reps. Now....i understand that NFL athletes are very strong for thier sizes and are exceptionally good athletes but I call BS on this one. I would love to see any wide reciever much less joey galloway bench 405 for reps. Not one time..but for reps. I remember reading the same BS when shannon sharpe was EAS's posterboy.
I know linebackers and linemen are strong. I remember hearing Nate newton for the cowboys back in the 90's could bench almost 600. but a wide reciever?? I'd have to see it to believe it. Next thing you know Brady Quinn will be doing 365 for 20.
These magazine's crack me up with thier inflated claims. I'm sorry I just cant see a wide reciever doing 405 for reps. Not 1 time but for reps. Cant see it.
