I have no kids of my own now, but did have a couple of stepkids when I was married, and do NOT remember giving them a diet of pure sugar. My girlfriend and I have been babysitting a couple kids recently and I have noticed something. The first was a 6 year old boy. His mom is a stripper and works late hours, so she often has other family members keep the kid overnight. Since she was unable to get a babysitter for 2 nights last week, my girlfriend volunteered.
Since we have no "kid" food, I had to go shopping to get some stuff. My grocery list was cookies, juice boxes, pudding, and pop tarts. This week, my girlfriend's cousin's 5 year old son got pnuemonia and was admitted to the hospital. She volunteered to have their 8 year old daughter stay with us the next couple nights since the parents are spending most of their time at the hospital.
Her parents sent over Oreos, some cereal called Sugar coated Sugar blasters or some shit, brownies, more chocolate pudding, and more juice boxes. These kids are eating more sugar in a day than I eat protein! And I eat 7 times a day!
WTF, man?
