Extreme Stretching

I was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions for extreme stretches other than the ones demonstrated on IM? I also saw a few that Shelby posted a while back but my search hasn't come up with any more than that.

those stretches should work, but what muscle groups did you exactly have in mind?
 
if you can go to the store and get a piece of rope about 4 feet long, you can use it really well to stretch your quads, hams, shoulders, calves etc, works like a charm, just loop it around your foot, itll let you do propriceptive neuromuscular facilitative stretching without a partner...

Could you elaborate further on that? Def. sounds interesting! I'm guessing that a tight muscle fascia will restrict growth, and that loosening it up will help?

SMR is huge in the NASM world. I have used it before on myself and some clients. From what I understand NASM resommends SMR followed by static stretching. Interesting stuff!
