Guy knocked out my girlfriend

Last week a guy knocked out my girlfriend. Her family & I went to a benefit for a little girl that has cancer. My friend, brother of the sick girl asked if i would break up a fight outside & get them to leave. The "coward" had grabbed a young woman inappropiately & shoved another girl then a fight broke out. I went outside broke it up told the "coward" to leave, i turned to his friend & told him to get his buddy out of here. The "coward" then suckered me & ran. We left & went to a Bar, "coward" & his friends were there in the parking lot. I ran up to him put my jacket down as i turned to face him he punched my gf she fell back & banged her head on the pavement she was knocked out. He put his fists up to fight me then turned & ran again I chased him down the road, through back yards, over fences, slipping on ice, he got away. He had a good build, ripped, I am 250# slower than i used to be. I ran back to my gf & her family to see if she was alright. Ambulance took her to the Hospital. I grabbed one his buddies, I got there names. The Police charged the "coward" 4 days later. The Police said if i touch him then i will be in more trouble than the "coward". I found them all on Facebook the "coward" is posing by his car, i reconize the street i now know were he lives. What would you do??? Let the courts sort it out, sort it out yourself. He apparently changed his name fled his country, Iran. He may get deported. Oh yeah him & his buddies are security guards at the Hospital, I spoke to his Boss & he will loose his Security license therefore his job if he gets convicted. were i in your situation, with the information on the person i had i would make sure that nobody ever saw him again. it would be assumed he fled the country and changed his name to avoid being charged with the crime. its not like he hasn't done it before.

I've seen this happen before. My best advice is, Tell your girl next time shit like that goes down between men, Leave, Go back to the car, in the building or where ever just leave the situation.

Just leave it alone now man, It's to late... Getting knocked out isn't fun but getting shot over stupid shit is a lot worst.

let the law handle it.....period. nothing you can do can make the event of his assault on her un-happen. if anything happens to this guy you will be one of the first suspects they will be looking for. you most likely will do time and end up paying thousands of dollars in legal fees and even his medical expenses. acts of revenge seldom if ever lead to a happy ending. i'm sorry this happened to you and your girl but think long and hard before you act.

You must always use tactics, there is no such thing as a fair fight. You ran up to him in the parking lot and put your jacket down. Several mistakes here, you let him know you wanted to fight, and you let yourself get distracted from the task at hand. You should have approached him as if you wanted to say sorry, shake his hand, or ask for his forgiveness. He should never see the attack coming, he should think you are very scared of him even if you aren't, he should think you are pussy until the moment he goes down. Assuming of course you are already trained in combat, which you should be as a adult male, you should also be fully versed in tactics as well.

It sucks this happened but ultimately, it is done now and your girlfriend and your family need you. I bet if you went after him you would end up in more trouble than he does.

I don't have a record I am currently looking into a Law/Security profession.
I am Canadian, If i get a record then forget about my career & no more Vacations to the US.
I am pretty stressed i am trying to stay cool, it is difficult.

She was behind me i "assumed" she was safe standing with her mom & brother. I was looking for payback that was a mistake. Breaking up the fight & turning my back on him was my first 2 mistakes.

I understand man, I know it's hard to swallow pride sometimes. You sound like a good guy, Don't let some idiot ruin your future plans.. Also like I said before, Always tell the girl or girls you're with to leave, They usually make the situation worst or bad things like this happen to them.
