Ive been trolling round this board off and on for about a year, never posting, but getting alot of good advice from reading.
I have so many questions:
1. Ive been lifting for a while since in H.S. and then for college sports, Im 5'11" 210 as of today. In January I was snowboarding and fell on my wrist spraining it pretty bad. I laid off of it for a while but then tried to get back asap. I could'nt bench on a standard flat bench so I went to BI-angular because the stress on my wrist was'nt as bad. so after a few months (wrist still had lingering pain) I started to get a pinching feeling in my shoulder and dis-regarded it. eventually it hurt so bad that any pushing motion be it incline bech ect... would be too much to bare. I went to the doc and the said that it could have been a couple things. bicep tendonidis, pinch. etc.. yadda yadda yadda. so the give me meds and send me to a shoulder specialist. a week later an x-ray of my shoulder, cordizone shot in my rotator cuff and on my way....3 weeks later still hurts, go to the shoulder specialist X-ray shows a bone spurr in my shoulder and he sends me to get an MRI. MRI comes back neg. for any issues related to tendons and rotator cuff so they tell me it must be related to the bone spurr. Another cortizone shot on on my way.
I have to test for a position in the next couple weeks that requires me to do push ups pull ups, climb a rope, ect.. any ways i ask him what could possibly happen if i start to lift on it again, and he told me nothing, "its just as much pain you can bare." He told me that the surgery isnt bad but I wouldnt be ok to test.
Its been 3 weeks Im back to the weight that I was working with before my injury I have a pain that seems to resonate from the top of the left shoulder to over my trap and down to the top of my chest. When I try to flex my traps I can't get the left trap swell up like my right....WTF
It seems to me that this may be nerve related, cause its a naggin pain what do yall thaink. could the bone spurr be impingeing on a nerve thats not allowing my muscle to flex?
any help would be appreciated.
