help with cramping

at the end of my workout when i hit my abs...usually 3 times a week. i get a real bad cramp either in the lower left or right part of my abs. its extremely isolated no more than 1 or 2 inches in diameter. ive usually taken 40 ounces of water by this point in my training session so i dont think im dehydrated. ive tried bananas pre workout and that didnt help at all. any ideas as to what the cause may be?
 
Have you ever heard of a product called Poseidon? Check it out by Nimbus Nutrition.
 
for those who cramp go the cheapest way out and go to your local store and pick up DIET TONIC WATER which has QUININE some mix it 50/50 with water I personally drink it straight and enjoy it.
 
Try calcium/magnesium. You can get this at any health food shop. Comes in tablet form.
 
taurine works amazingly well, buy it in bulk powder form, really cheap and effective
 
there are so many factors to WHY your body cramps, the real solution is to figure out what is the imbalance, or what is your body deprived of? Usually its sodium/potassium imbalance. It can be many other things as well. I have gotten them from too much sodium and too little potassium, and vise versa.
 
I'm interested to hear more info about this. This cycle when hitting my calves with high reps they cramped up a few times, and I've been supplementing with 10g taurine a day plus potassium and lots of health supps, fats, vit's, minerals, etc. (no clenbuterol!)

I assumed it was the gear and hard work causing it :cool:
 
You said you were eating bananas... they're loaded in potassium which may be the problem if your daily diet also contains high amount of it and not enough sodium.

Cramps are often rather due to a lack of Na+ than K+.

Keep in mind too that drinking a lot of water can quickly deplete you from electrolytes if you don't pay attention to it :)
