there are plenty of brilliant grad students (science and math) at my school who write in English worse than that.

Even if he's not... this is a bodybuilding forum, what need does he have to be formal. Look at Emeric, phil, Big A and everyone else thats educated here, they all use colloquial language to express themselves in this forum. Its way easier.
