Actually your right to a point,but he was an olympia athlete and we are not.I believe it was just as hard then as it is now.Was frank Zane a mass monster?No,I respect any man or woman that can get them selves in shape or even not quite in shape and stand in front of a crowd half naked and stand on a stage and perform.That my friend is dedication.I will just leave it at that.thx
If you can compete against yourself and gravity everyday, you can compete against another man and win. You either have the mentality or you don't.
You're right, my priority isn't "competitive bodybuilding" either right now, nor will it ever be. Anybody with any sense can see that Frank Zane is elite, and worth paying for his advice.
Met him at the Arnold. He just sat there at a table at his booth looking pretty unhappy. Maybe he was having a bad day or something but for all he has accomplished it didn't seem like he even wanted to be there.
He always marched to a different drum and got a lot of respect for that. No reason to pass judgement on others though.
