Intra-workout carbs, how much do you use?

I go from 20-50g dextrose depending on the workout w/25g whey.

What’s your mix?

I take 50-60g HBCD + 3g salt+ 20g EAA.
With insulin prewo it's even more effective.

why use 10g of EAA you need about 0.05g of leucine per kg of body weight to maximize protein synthesis so if you weigh e.g. 100kg you need 5g of pure leucine and most EAA on the market has 2g of leucine for every 10g so this
Measure ok for a 50kg girl not even an average guy

Don't know what brand he uses but I also use 10 grams from True Nutrition (US based company) which contain 5 grams of leucine per 10 grams of EAA.

True Nutrition is Dante Trudel's brand so he knows what he's doing. But most EAAs on the market only have about 2g of leucine per 10g serving

Young me would try to slam 100-150g carbs during/post workout. I definitely dont think more than 50-75g of HBCD is necessary unless it's absolutely needed to cover insulin.

mines @ 3g/serving, I could prob double scoop it for better results

My intra:

50g HBCD
10g EAAs
10g BCAAs
10g Glutamine
1 Crystal Light flavoring packet. (I buy bulk unflavored aminos because they’re so cheap, but god they taste awful)

50g Karbolyn + EAA. Karbolyn > HBCD dogshit IDGAF

Interested in you expanding upon this. For the record I personally am not the biggest fan of HBCD and for me personally I have found others to work just as well once I worked up to larger amounts slowly.

Also curious about this.

I’ve never used karbolyn so I can’t compare the two, but I definitely prefer HBCD over dextrose and maltodextrin

LOL I have thought Karbolyn sucks for about a decade and a half!

Vitargo was great and HBCD is damn good.
Prior to that, back from 2004-2006 I was slamming 50g Malto +50-75g Dextrose post with 50g Whey and some creatine ethyl ester.. yuck! Thank goodness the Dextrose drowned it out.
