Is "Time On = Time Off" Outdated?

Interesting I haven't read it. Is there a test where we can get our myostatin levels? As for cortisol, does gear actually cause it to rise? I always run 400mg about and got cortisol tested recently it was in range. Has anyone seen bloodwork of someone out of range on the forums?

Gear LOWERS cortisol- esp drugs like tren and anavar... which is why it's so much easier to burn fat and retain muscle. Body is always trying to strive for homeostasis, so after a while, cortisol levels rise to balance what the drugs effects on lowering it are- which is part of the reason why perma blast guys keep having to raise the dosage. Same with myostatin. The longer you are on, the harder you crash.

Much of the "losses" coming off for a couple months is cosmetic and visual- when you're on gear, your muscles are able to store much more glycogen, hence the constant pumped look and feeling. So coming off is more of a mind-fuck than any, because a lot of us are extremely vain and don't like to even "look" like we lost 10-20 pounds, even if it is just for a short period of 8-12 weeks.

Assuming you are continuing to train and still eating enough protein and calories to maintain, it's not really even possible to lose 20 lbs of muscle in that period of time- can you lose some muscle and probably 10+ pounds of water? Absolutely.

5 years ago, I inadvertently took 15 months off bc i was going through some major shit in my life. Trained my 6 weeks or so natty, ran a moderately dosed cycle, blew up 23 lbs and looked leaner. A lot of it was prob glycogen stores, but i 100% noticed skeletal muscle growth that was not present before.

There was a lot of ignorance in the 80s and 90s, and much of what we did was pure guesswork or bro-lore.
There were no AIs, Nolvadex was by prescription only through a good doc and very rare. We ran HCG haphazardly as there was no research at the time.

I did time on = time off until my break from AAS for about 10 years (with a little pro-hormone dabbling in between). My primary motivation to get back on was my T was in the crapper anyway.
I think a lot of the members of this board are on the "mature" side. Many of us need to be on TRT. I feel like complete rubbish on less than 250 a week. I can hold muscle on less, but feel terrible, sluggish, and mentally foggy.
 
I hear what you are saying, and there are definitely A LOT of girls like that... but i have known her for 20 years and know when she is being stubborn and when she's not. I am not trying to brag, but she is constantly getting pursued and hit on by ultra successful, ultra attractive men, some who or much more fit than me. She is so used to it that it has become annoying to her, because most of those men are arrogant and full of themselves and she doesn't want to stroke their ego.

In OUR world, muscles and fitness mean everything, and we assign a direct correlation between muscles on men and attraction. Women can be weird, and attracted to different things.

There are a number of girls who prefer super skinny guys; think like punk rock world- and some of those chicks are smoking hot!

She has told me she has had convos with a couple of her gf's in private that they think "dad bods" are hot.

It is a little disappointing to me as i wish she WAS into that, but people have their own different quirks as far as attraction and sexuality goes.

For instance, not everyone likes eating ass- can you believe THAT?!? Lol

Good information it does make sense that coming off or cruising will lead to better gains when you up the dose. For me I'll admit I'm scared to go below 309 because I'm worried I will look smaller or flat. I try to rotate compounds to keep some sort of novel stimulus..do you think that helps any?

I call bs. They may say they like a dad bod but I don't think they do. If a guy is 180 at 8 percent a low bf but not skull face, and fattens up to 200 so he is soft, I don't think more girls will like him. They are conditioned to say dad bods are hot just like society is conditioned to think Yeezy or new balance 550 shoes look good lol. They also say they like a sensitive vulnerable man I call bs, woman will always be attracted to a strong man who can hold his emotions in check at a primal level.
 
I did time on plus pct then time off minimum for a couple years then took three years completely off and competed as a "natty". Decided to compete Npc and started prohormone, designer over the counter at the time stuff again. I always did time on plus pct equal total time off.

I still looked good but would lose a good bit of the look. Then I did the whole bulk thing , dc training, as a natty, and grew but over time gained too much body fat for my liking. Also got majority injured, had to take a full year to heal, training light or at all, upper body. It's much better to be leaner, period Then at 33 went or trt, Been off two months since then, never again., After two months, on daa, clomid, triptorillin (sp) test came back at 13! I've gone as low as 70 mgs a week to 150 trt for months at a time, between cycles, and slowly noticed not as much pop. Currently do hrt, low androgen type compounds,keeping androgenic ratio low as possible. Attempting to keep sex drive decent. After I decide to not compete I can always go to trt.

Nothing wrong with New balance QB, used to wear em, I like sketchers . You're right about having a lean hard bod over a fluffy bod all day. You're right about emotions . That said, once you get to know them deeper, you must communicate. I've gone overboard I think, and if I cry and they see it , o well. If ve hide it as well when I knew she was banging other dudes, tears would run down my face and I'd put my facein the pillow so she couldn't see. Same girl had a boyfriend for a few years and texted me on Thanksgiving I want to to fck me hard, I would always use cialis, I asked about her bf, and she said he's like a roommate, he'll be fine. I texted back you made me cry when you did what you're doing to him what you did to me. No regrets.

I've dated quite a bit and have had two other girls that cheated . As far as I know my longest relationship of five years she didn't. If I ever found out she did it's probably scar me for life, even though I've been scarred quite a bit

Same with anyone. Us bodybuilders hormones can be all over the place, using different hormones, so it reasons we know how to handle emotions than you're non hormone using guy. I know when I would go off cycle and do clomid id feel and act unreasonable then any girl.

No, not cruising- OFF. Completely. I know its debated on here, but a guy i am friends with and trust who is both a cardiologist running his own practice and a former IFBB heavyweight insists that androgen receptor desensitization is very real, and absolutely no way to completely re-sensitize them without time off.

Just the same way you cant do a drug or drink non-stop and keep having the same buzz, but if you give it a rest and recover for a day or two, the high will give you a fresh buzz.

Believe me, i struggle with it myself and have had periods of blasting for 2 years at a time, but coming off and coming back on after a long lay off and results were not far off from my very first cycle.

I’m not saying just saying I’ve heard that a lot lately so I say what about a father figure just sarcasm bro coming from a jacked dad. I’m not jealous when I hear it it’s just the woman don’t and probably never will understand our lifestyle.
 
"Dad Bod" vision generally goes along with a male who is established, stable, married/loyal, not afraid of commitment, and raising kids so a good human being (projection of that vision anyway). Women will say the exterior is attractive but really it's the idea of the whole package that attracts them. Also if that's the package a woman is after...outside of a rarity, she's choosing the best Dad Bod because there's not much else in that group.

Dated a girl ages ago who firmly believed Steven Tyler of Aerosmith was a great looking guy and super attractive. If it wasn't for talent and fame, he'd be the ugliest dude one would see publicly in a week or more period. They just get confused.

I wouldn't call an off-season bodybuilder a dad bod because they have so much muscle but your 510 200lb 13 percent guy with some fat who you see at the gym could be a dad bod.

How if F@#$ did it become about women and the obsession some of you have about fat people, being fat yourself and now daddy issues making their way into the thread? None of those posts have anything to do with this topic. Let's try to swing this back into line with the topic and question at hand.

For the ones that want to cover these other issues, please start a thread in the Counseling forum!
