Hey guys just wondering if anyone has ran this programme and your thoughts on it?

It’s a tonne more volume than I’ve done but similar frequency just concerned about recovery on it

I should state I’m looking for a way to incorporate low volume HIT high frequency training and higher volume more traditional BB training (Dorian Yates and jay cutler if you will) to
See if it’s possible to get the best of both stimulus worlds

Haven’t ran 2 but the first is one of my favorite programs of his
He states #2 is his favourite pre contest programme which is the phase im in now (minus the contest just dieting)

174 pages? My goodness, that’s a program and a half

I’m not sure John would have liked any of his paid content to be posted up for free, but I digress

I have ran it twice, I love it. Grew like a weed on the program. Back to a good ole bro split now. Make sure and don’t go to crazy on the pump days.

Creeping death 2 is fucking brutal. It’s high volume, moderate high frequency, intensifiers…

But a lot of fun.

I would definitely not try to do the 6 day a week version. 5 days a week is plenty at first if you’ve never done mountain dog

Thank you mate was that using the 6 days/week? Tempted to do that but drop some of the back workout as that’s mega high volume and back is my strongest point

I’m tempted to do 6 days but lower the volume for back stuff as that’s my strongest body part

I tried it for awhile this year and training 5-6 days per week was incredibly counterproductive for me. I know alot probably has to do with my age but I just don't recover that well from that much training frequentcy. All my progress started going in reverse. Lifts down, elbow, knee, hip joints always sore. I've found I'm making my best progress with 3-4 days per week out of the gym.

It is age and I feel the same.

I ran this program going into my show in April 2022. It is a ton of volume meshed with intensity.

You’d better have all your recovery, diet, gear, insulin, peri workout nutrition, etc just right or you’ll quickly over train.

I personally like the original Creeping Death program or Gamma Bomb better if you’re going to do one of them.

I haven’t done a JM program since this one as I like to stick to exercises more consistently and maximize progress a bit more instead of rotating through so many different ones. Works better for me. But you can’t go wrong with any program John has done- top coaches today still recommend them to their clients.

Liked Gamma bomb more, with a day for arms only. The back days with arms afterward was killing me. The workouts took way too long for me to keep the intersity going

Did have a look at that (gamma bomb) however for where I’m at currently I don’t believe I’m at a level of development that warrants a whole day to arms by that what I mean is everything needs to come up as opposed to targeting specific weak areas when everything is weak 😅

This is me, 5 days for years switching to 4 was tough but I'm loving it

For those that did this program how long are the workouts? Does John have any low volume programs?

Lower volume I believe buddy yeah check out his site gives you a guide to all his programmes on a comparison chart.

In regards to workout time well I’m starting tomorrow at a guess I’d say 90-120 minutes depending on strength/fitness levels etc

Project colossus

my fav MD program is still "HIgh Evolution".
Typical bro splits style:
Chest/Delts
Back
LEgs
Arms

i ran it on 4 days instead of following exactly which is 5days

My favorite, i ran it 4on1off repeat, arms after back and before legs.
Most progress i made
