I hate to hear this for a man who's given so much back to bodybuilding. He's one of the most respected minds today and for good reason. Thoughts to his family, friends, and fans.

I don't know the specifics of his family history, but in one of his EliteFTS talks on diet / contest prep / drugs, he mentioned he had some pretty young deaths of family members that made him more cautious with what he did with PEDs.

Yes, but unfortunately we'll still have the usual suspects say family history has nothing to do with it, it's all due to bodybuilding, etc.

For what this is worth - and I've always been surprised it's not discussed here given the demeanor of many members - Meadows has been on TRT of 300mg / week for some time, obviously under supervision of Dr. Eric Serrano. It'll be interesting to see his and Serrano's thoughts on this situation and what, if any, role his TRT dosage played.

Clotting disorder? After 69 years, and due to pain in my upper right arm, a ultrasound showed a surface vein thrombosis. A clot. I found out I have Factor V [5] Mutation. A clotting disorder. It's genetic. I am now on blood thinner forever. Doesn't stop me from going to the gym. God bless JM. I competed in the masters nationals over 60 in 2012. I was sitting next to John waiting to get a tan. He was such a friendly person. I had never seen someone so hard and vascular. Again....all the best.
