You still feeling that disconnected feeling, like watching yourself on tv? I remember how I felt that for awhile but haven't in years. I've lost track, how long has it been since you got home from the hospital after your cardiac arrest and other issues?

it's been a little over 13 months.

the brain fog and sense of disconnection are not as bad as they were, so i suppose progress is being made in that regard.

i think the glasses i now wear are making a big difference..

not only did i have crippling anxiety during that period, i had double/blurry vision - which worsened the overall sensation significantly.

could always be worse i suppose... most people who suffer a cardiac arrest die and stay dead. most of those who survive suffer severe brain damage, and are pretty much vegetables relying on a brainstem to exist.

and then there's cases like mine.

basically, if i were to describe it now, i just feel kinda 'dumb' - as it were... everything just feels a little bit harder than it used to, and i feel about 10% asleep just about constantly.

It's worth noting that I spoke to people who also suffered cardiac arrests, and they described feeling exactly the way I currently feel, and they eventually recovered completely.

So there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Is it common, for those that you have talked to, to have vision problems? If so, did any of them find some relief with glasses like you have?

Yes and yes

Basically everyone I asked told me that they either needed glasses, or had to change their prescription after their cardiac arrest

Wild. I never even heard of that before you mentioned it. But then again, I never really thought of studying the aftermath of cardiac arrest. I can only imagine how many hundreds (thousands?) Of hours you have into learning and researching the outcomes after your event.

Im sure too that the longer you are in arrest the worse the after effects will be. The skill of those doing CPR probably has a big influence too.

I can for sure see both of those as huge factors to the outcome.

Slice man, how long were you (I hate to even same the word) 'dead' before you were brought back?

From what I have read, it looks like anything over 5 or 6 minutes without fresh oxygen that the brain suffers damage. Not sure how long it takes for death. They must have got on Slice pretty fast with the CPR.

I was out for 26 minutes, but CPR was started immediately - as I was already in the hospital.

3-4 minutes without CPR is enough to leave you a vegetable

Whats your current health supplement list looking like since everything that's taken place?

This article made me think of you. Definitely some guys out there feeling some pain from marriage.

Lmao I heard about that

Hopefully the battle is televised
Heck yeah! That would sell a lot of tickets PPV. The money from sales could all go into a fund that guys going through tough divorces could apply to for financial aid! Help them finish out on top in the battle.

I havent watched football in years... you?

I hear your team made it to the big show. Are you excite?

Well that answers my question. Lulz

Anything new and exciting in your world? Still feeling better?
