Does anyone else do this besides me? To me it taste/blend better. If its cold it tends to clump up and when a clump goes down the throat, I almost puke everytime. I use TP protein and it blends really well with little water. Just curious...

That sounds absolutely horrible! Trying it is one thing, but to even consider the thought of taking protein this way the rest of my life makes me want to cry!
Don't miss the point of shakes it's for convenience and over complicating the process of water+powder=a protein shake makes it less convenient therefore differing away from the purpose. I don't think the difference is that large that it would make or brake my shake.
Make it decaf coffee - caffeine inhibits mTOR which is the protein synthesis signal in the body.
