hey guys been traning hard this week my sholder is just killin me . i was thinking about taking like a 100mg of deca a week if that help . i am on sus and eq so i need some help if thats good or not.
 
I like deca for joint relief.. I usually don't take less than 200mg though for good results.

That being said, if you've only been sore this week, you might have better luck with alittle rest, ice, and ibuprofen.
 
Yeah, if your shoulder has been killing you, your body is trying to tell you something. If its good pain(soreness) you are okay, but if it is joint pain, you should rest it more. Dont use deca thinking it is going to relieve pain/reduce pain. It's not a pain reliever.

I have used it for the exact same purpose you describe. But if you have a muscle/tendon tear, it might mask the pain and cause more harm than good.

hey thanks bro its not a pain reliever i know that lol. yeah i need rest i been on rest but i need to oil my joints up.
 
ice it for a while n take an anti inflammatory for a day or two( dont train ur shoulders either) and see if it subsides

I have bad shoulders from numerous atv wrecks and just young teenage stuff. My left shoulder last night was yelling so bad I had to stop and stretch for a few minutes. I just drink lots of water and it seems to help to a small extent.

My pain just started every so slowly. It wasn't like I was doing a rep and said shit i hurt my shoulder.

Doc said Bursitis or some nerve thing...............been on Zipsor, had a shot of cortisone, and ibuprofen didn't do much. I corned him again bc he is a friend of mine and he gave me some Methlypresidone. I also ice it alot at night time. This has helped but the inflamation that was in my shoulder has moved down to my wrist and fingers. Crazy. I am on my third day of the Presidone and it has been a life saver. I can actually sleep a little.

Tonight i am going in to try a do a very very very light push type workout. It has been two weeks since my last one. I have been doubling my pulls and leg days.
 
Are you guys doing flat bench presses and overhead shoulder presses? Do you know what is causing the pain or is it just from being sore?

Monster, how long after your shoulder pain began did your hand swell up? Are your fingers sluggish? Is your pain in your neck, shoulder, and are you loosing control of your scapula? The swollen hand is a classic sign of a brachial plexus injury. I am dealing with this right now, worst pain of my life, it's a nerve injury that can be diagnosed with an emg.
 
I realy screwed up my rotator cuff on the posterior side a few years ago doing behind neck shoulder presses. Its been on and off bothering me ever sense but recently i started doing rotator cuff exercises which i never did before. Just go to youtube and look up rotator cuff exercises. There are stretches i do now when i get to the gym before i start training and i do them in the sauna so it warms them up. So far almost all of my pain is gone and no more inflamation, i do stay away from barbell bench and other presses too though and stick with dumbells. One thing is for sure if your shoulder is hurting while your doing the exercise i wouldnt do it. Give it some time to rest and stick to the rotator cuff exercise routines till it heals..
 
glucosamine/chondroiton helps when my joints are acting up.

i would like to add glucosamine chronjointent with msm (not spelled correct) 1500mgs a day at least 30 days. and some shoulder stretches. (no weights)

Going down too far! I completely got rid all my shoulder injuries and problems by simply stopping at about 90 degree at the elbow when benching and with overhead shoulder press i stop when my arms are at perfect right angles. Been shoulder problem free for years ever since I just changed that one little thing.

Two weeks ago i was smith inclining (full ROM) 315 for 10 or 12. I noticed that the left arm was getting weaker but no biggie it didnt hurt. That was on a Thursday. By Monday it was fucking killing me in my shoulder. There was no tear or pop or immediate "ugh.....fuck" it just went to throbbing on the third day of not working out upper body. The Hand has never swelled but after week of the initial shoulder pain it did start hurting. Then my forearm would hurt. Then my wrist. If i spread my fingers out real far it hurts every other time i do it. I thought it was bc of the presidone.
I went to the gym tonight. . I can barely do 30 LBs on a seated stack weight bench press with my left arm. Fuck two weeks ago it was a 180. It feels weak when i press. It is such a bummer.

I have weird spasms in the rear of my delt, the left side of my left pec. and some where else i cant seem to remember. (i am low carbed and ECA'd).
No neck pain, but if by scapula you mean the top of the shoulder yes it has twitched. I have some pain in the tricep. No bruising. For days b4 it went in my wrist and hands it was all in the middle of the inside of my arm.

well i am luck its not bad as yours but i am gona try that ice and see if it help

I had the same problem. My left shoulder was killing me for awhile. Then I read a thread here about "10 machines not to use". One of them was seated military presses. They recomended that you stand up and do alternating presses so you can get your hip underneath it as well, which is supposed to be a more natural movement. I also stopped using the seated peck deck as well.

Anyways, since I've been doing that, my shoulder pain is gone.

Left shoulder hva been troubeling me for weeks too. I went to doc two weeks ago, I gave it a mild cortisone shot, told me to to lot of dynamic excerises and stop delt exersises totaly.

He thought that my delts were overdeveloped and therefore pulled my whole shoulder joint upwards, and because it would creak into the shoulderblade when I move the arm out to the side or over head. Was told to focus on back exersises to try pull the joint more down. I'm also prescribed some anti-inflammatory for 30 days.


Something to think about, some of you guys might have the same problem. I never though of this befor doc explained even though I had done lots of research. Pain was to start with in front...then over to the outside a week later, and then more like between back and middle of joint. Particulary just pain deep into the joint.

It feels like it's getting better, I havent deared to put any particular load on it yet, gonna keep of shoulder training for one, or two more weeks.
