Im fuckin pissed.... Im quite possibly the best neighbor someone can have. I dont have parties or even entertain small groups, I play no music in the house, Im extrememly quiet, my dogs stay in the house except to go into the fenced in back yard to shit(6ft wood fence), I never have my dogs off the lease, I maintain my yard, the neighbors never even see me.

That being said, Im getting ready for the gym today, mixing up my preworkout shake and I get a knock at the door. Thinking it may be some dvds, I get all excited and wrap my towel around my waist and head to the door. It was a arrogant little bitch from the property management company, giving me my THIRD 24 hour notice to enter that I have recieved within the last month and a half. I said why do you need to come in this time. She said to inspect the house. I informed her that they just inspected the damn thing. She said, oh that was the yearly inspection this one is different. I said how so. She says well we have been recieving complaints from your neighbor that you have an aggressive pitbull. (My pit is a 1.5 yr old female and is as lovable of a dog as there is and is a super pussy, doesnt bark, growl, anything) She says that the neighbor claims my pit charged them. I told her that was bullshit, my dog is never outside off the leash.
She then says that pits are not allowed and that i didnt have her listed on my lease only the jack russel. I told her the pit wasnt here when my wife moved in just the jack russel. So the bottom line is they are coming to snoop around.
Ive been suspecting this neighbor of mild sabotage for the last couple months.. had some things stolen from the side yard and whatnot. Me and the neighbor will be having a discussion when he gets home from work tonight.

This fucked up my day. The house is not inspection ready and i have shit to do that doesnt include prepping for an inspection.

Can I refuse to let them in.
 
Any "inspections" should be listed on your lease , if its not then no you don't have to let them in legaly , but that doesen't mean that they can't make thing misserable for you , possibly kick you out.

I would certainly talk to the neighbor and see what the problem is but seriously be as civil and polite as possible , explain that your the good guy.

Alot of times being a "quiet" neighbor leads to people thinking your a reclusive dick thats hiding somthing.

Pittbulls get a bad rap because of poor owners and the fucked up media.

I have a crazy old lady who doesn't understand dogs and seems to need medication...I bonded with the backyard neighbor who's a harbor cop.

I've called the cops on her for good reason and she's called the cops on him LOL...She didn't know he was the cops.

FYI, the GF and I had one and then two cats in our apt. while we weren't supposed to have any animals at the time...if there's no real issue, you shouldn't have a problem though...I say make good if you or another tennet is in LE;)...It works if you go about it the right way and need it too.
 
Lawyer up bro. a simple letter from a attorney can do wonders for you if they think there gonna get sued for harassment.or something along those lines.

A kind answer turns away anger bro, I have had a similar situation in the past with neighbors, and you will surprised how responding kindly can change someone's attitude. But if you instead try to get in their face with aggressiveness, things are bound to get worse, so my advice if you want to have a peaceful life is to talk things out over a cup of coffee and maybe throw some bakery in too. God bless you bro.

Lawyer up and get them to send letter after letter if things keep going. It's the only way to deal with ignorant assholes like that ;)

By law, any owner of a property can come in as long as they submit a 24 hour notice. They must post it in a conspicous place like your door. They don't have to list on your lease certain inspections. If the lease states that you must list all animals on that lease prior to moving in, they can ask you to get rid of the animal, or terminate your lease and ask you to leave. If you don't like it simply move some where will they will accept your pet.
 
i had a crazy neighbor in college one time...had an off campus house with a few roomates and the old guy next door was clinically insane. we didnt do anything out of the norm for college kids, just went out partying and came home late every night. he called the cops on us probably 2 dozen times just because he said we were making noise coming in late and what not but every time the cops just said he's nuts and to keep it down. so one night i come home and he's yelling something out the window to us and we are just like whatever and ignore it. about 10 minutes later 10 or so cop cars pull up. the guy called the cops and said if they didnt do something he was gonna shoot all of us and kill himself... the next thing u know the guy is being taken out on a stretcher to be taken away and the cop walks out with an assault rifle. we had no idea how close we were to being gunned down by our crazy neighbor lol...just thought u guys might enjoy this story

So I cleared out for a while so I didnt beat my neighbor into a coma. During that time, my wife went to the property management company to inquire about the extrememly frequent inspections (As I said before 3 notice to enter within about a month and a half so once every 2 weeks). The lady she spoke to was the same cunt that came to my house earlier. She informed my wife that my pitbull was a violation of the lease so I will not be recieving my deposit back, which is 2300 fucking dollars. Which is bullshit since my dog has caused no damage. So Im looking for new housing.
I also did some research on the property management company and there have been a myriad of complaints about them for hijacking deposits without cause, and similar harrassment.

As far as the neighbor goes, Ive decided a quiet campaign of sabotage during my last days in this house will be the way to go. By my math the neighbor owes me 2300 since I wouldnt be out of my deposit if he hadnt snitched on me.
 
This is absolute bullshit man!
I used to think that mature men can talk and settle their problems like inteligent human beings. What a fucking asshole of a neighbor you have! I guess I'm wrong, because I hardly ever see people trying to fix things on their own, they call daddy and cry. In your situation there wasn't even a problem...Sometimes I wish we still lived in the 1600's when if you had a problem with some dumbfuck you said "grab your fucking sword you imbecile rodent, because in 3 seconds you will be fighting to defend your life" I'm sure if people still felt that their actions had consiquences, and you can't just blatantly disrespect people and spit in their faces they would be a lot more respectfull. Sorry for the rant, but as you can see I can't stand this type of tadle tale bullshit...
 
I hope this whole thing turns out to be for the better. Maybe you'll find a much better place for less, or maybe this loss will turn into a gain in the future, because you find a better job near your new place or something along those lines. I like to fool myself to believe such things when i get fucked over or make a mistake. I hope everything goes well for you man.
 
Remember, nowadays, the people renting the property have much more rights than the owners. The gov caters towards the renters.

As for not receiving your deposit back, just dont pay the last months rent. Tech you have 60days before they can evict you. Just dont pay both months rent. Make up a story too to cause trouble that the lady who came to your house sexually harrased you. Just completely make it up but believe in it and cause a big ruckus. I bet they will give your deposit back.
 
I have 3 pits and where I live owning more than 2 pits is illegal. I get around it by saying that they are American Bulldogs. They are dual registered AKC/UKC purple ribbon bred APBT's, but I don't leave their papers laying around and I'll only walk them late at night.

Many communities don't allow many types of dogs for liability reasons, but I also think your property management co. is just looking for violations to screw tenants out of as much $$$ as possible. I wish you luck.

Oh yeah, did you know many homeowners insurance cos won't honor claims if you have an APBT-even if it's a faulty roof? There's a lot of responsibility involved with owning the most misunderstood breed of dog in the world.

Talk to an attorney you may have more recourse then you think.people like this play on other people ignorance and most people just give up that's what their hoping for.
