Physical Abuse from Girlfriend

Anyone ever had a girl that gets physical? I've been living with mine for a year and a half now, and she knows that I'm a teddy bear, not a violent person at all. I guess she thinks since I'm that way that she can get away with hitting me. NOT A VERY WISE DECISION!

So last night, 9:30, she was laying in bed with TV on, cause she has to get up at like 5am. I come in and spoon her, start massaging her arms a little, because she said she was sore from last nights workout. I'm massaging away for about two minutes, then BAM! She flips a script on me and turns around an starts wailing on my leg! I sleep commando so she cut my knee with her nails or ring or something. Anyway it hurt like a bitch and I had just finished watching UFC. I had to really hold myself back. When I get hurt my animal instincts kick in and I shift into fight or flight mode. This is my house so I damn sure and gonna fly! So I shoved her off the bed pretty hard. I kind of feel bad, but I kind of feel lucky that I didn't lose control and get in trouble.

my girlfriend LOVES to hit me like a punching bag. and like u, it takes a lot in me not to flip out. it doesnt hurt its just really annoying

lol feel bad for you klowndog. i used to have a girlfriend that would bunch me hard as she could it didnt hurt, but she would hit me in the same spot time after times untill i blew up then id leave.... i got rid of that one!

She probably was waiting in there for me to come take that ass. Maybe when she realized I was just wanting to snuggle she got frustrated. I just rode her like a stallion in a rodeo the night before. I guess I'll make it right tonight though. We have a great relationship though and we love each other very much, depend on each other, it's a great relationship, she just needs to larn to stop hitting me. She had an older brother (3 yrs older) and they fought physically so I guess it stems from that. She has been hitting me alot lately, kind of in a flirty way, when I joke around in my Klowndog ways. But this time it fuckin HURT! When I fight, it is for one reason and one reason only, to defend myself. And when I defend myself, by golly I'm gonna hurt somebody bad. This is why I feel lucky that my instincs didn't run wild. I think things will smooth over tonigh. I slept on the couch last night, so I think she feels bad. Her friendat work just texted me and said she's been down all day, and needs a sincere apology. I guess I can sincerely apologize for cuddling and spoonin gwhen she apparently was trying to go to sleep, but that's where I draw the line. I won't apologize for defending myself.

Another thing, I don't believe in roid rage, but I started a cycle a week and a half ago of cyp @ 625/wk. I do believe that it amplifies a man's animal instincts.

some girls have this notion that its ok to hit men or run their mouth excessively - because they are females. they believe that being female is a 'magic shield', an excuse to do whatever they want. they need a reminder this is not so.

you are a member of this board, so i assume you workout. odds are you are a good sized guy. you watch UFC, which i myself enjoy, this also indicates something of your personality. you said yourself you go into fight or flight mode. do you not see what you are setting yoursefl up for?????????? one day she is gonna start with the BS, and wham you decide not to take it anymore. you get arrested, the judge looks at you as some big brute, you go to jail. need i continue?

Yes, I see your point exactly. Yeah they think that they can hit because we won't hit back. It sucks. Hopefully this will blow over, because I love her very much, and she worships the ground I walk on. Normally I just take the hit and giggle a little bit, but like I said, it fuckin hurt this time.

I hear you guys, and if this becomes a recurring issue I may have to break it off. Especially having dvds at the house. When we fight(rarely) she likes to put them in my face like she is holding something over me if I fuck up. Thanks for the replys guys, I don't feel like such an asshole now, but I'm going to work it out with her. She really is a great girl.

Yeah I'm starting to think I might just have to eat crow tonight. But at the same time we will discuss it in detail and try to make a learning experience from it.

Hopefully I can just at least put some A1 on the crow first LOL.

I hate to have to tell you this but if it was me, I would make a big change and it wouldn't include her. Yes, I have dated and married women that love to fight. I have no problem being violent, but not with a woman. I have taken shots to the jaw and hit in the head with iron skillets. Even a 45 auto pulled on me. I never engaged them because you just can't win and the man always goes to jail. I waited until they were gone and all of their stuff was out the door and the locks changed. I was in the same situation as you, it was my house and I certainly wasn't going to put up with being someone's whipping boy. GET OUT OF THIS RELATIONSHIP!

Physical abuse is abuse, wether is a man or woman. There is a certain matter of respect that is lost when that person believes in physical abuse. You need to sit down and talk to her and insist that she talk to you rather than use physical abuse. If she doesn't respect that, it will only get worse. Do not under any circumstance strike her back, you will go to jail, not her. Use a level head.

A word from the unwise: You kind of through a statement out there about her threatening you with the "DVDs". You need to take that much more serious. Yes she will be "sorry" afterward, but it just takes one bout of anger and one cop wanting to do her, for you to have an extremely bad few months.

In every threat, your opponent reveals things you need to know. It may be their cowardice, it may be a valid warning. I would remove the threat no matter how inconvenient.

A very close friend of mine, who happens to be ridiculously handsome just like me... wink. was in a similar situation with a girl whom he intended to marry. She also was cool with the dvd's he watched. A while later she found God, with help of this friend of mine. With her new found faith and guilt from all her own shit, decided it would be best to tell her family about everything my friend did, so being concerned for his well being.... They called the fucking fed's. He now has nothing and is starting from scratch... sure glad it was him and not me... because that would suck ass.

Now here is a man that echoed what I was just thinking. If she wants to hold your movie watching against you and use this as a tool for blackmail then you better wake up bro. This could be very serious trouble of you in the comig months. If she is a beater then she will remain one. Unless something drastic comes over her to change her ways she will not! First thing to do is hide your porn movies somewhere where she can't find them, preferably out of your house with a friend or something. Then either kick her ass out or give her the ultimatum, stop this violent bullshit or get the fuck out!! Play fighting is fun bro, she seems to have taken ths one too far!!
