It is the opinion of many that the huge change in size of many bodybuilders in the past 15 years or so is due to GH.

Others say it is an extremely overpriced, very often underdosed, fat burner. The other side of their rationale is that one could buy a LARGE amount of a varied assortment of AAS and good, clean food with that money.

In your opinion, could one achieve the same size with just diet/training/AAS and GH would just be the icing on the cake? Or do you feel there'd be something missing if one planned on being at the top of their sport?

my opinion is that GH is overrated and people want to try to single out the one difference that is around nowadays as opposed to 15 years ago and the answer they get is GH. Thr problem is that it ignores Insulin and the fact that people know how to train and eat better nowadays. GH is good but overrated in the sense that many think of it as the holy grail
 
Fat loss and healing seem to be the biggest benefits. I don't see how it could be much better than EQ or deca (which both GREATLY increase collagen synthesis) and keeping a clean diet.

The other good benefits are well recorded.

We can't forget the cons.

I've read many anonymous posts and papers posted on the web. Those who REALLY know what they're talking about (some degree of medical education, and it was easy to tell) were able to list the pros and cons. (NOTE: NO ONE THING IN THE WORLD IS GOOD OR BAD. THERE ARE ONLY PROS AND CONS)

Speculative "Cons":

Organ Growth

Greatly Increased Rate of Cancer

Carpel Tunnel Syndrome

Altered Blood Glucose Levels (not sure if it'd ever be enough to induce diabetes?)

Weaker muscle in the long run ("supposedly" this was proven in a legit study - I
never saw it)

Altered Thyroid Levels (speculation on this regarding permanent thyroid affects)
 
if you have a lot of money then go ahead but i feel there are more cost effective ways to achieving bigger size.
 
You know, i kinda agree with everyone above. I do feel that GH does have other benefits aside from muscle that make it worthwhile(IMO) though. And i did have an amazing bulk right before i tore my pec with it.

I was using gavin's protocol though and it was GH/IGF/SLIN.......all PWO 2-3 times per week. I blew up and stayed really lean. I never could tell exactly which of the three it was but something worked well.
 
I think the people who thing GH is the answer are stacking it with insulin and getting most of there growth effects from insulin...GH is good for dieting and getting lean or staying lean..but honestly I dont think it gets you big or puts on extreme amount of muscle...AAS and slin do that (along with food and correct training)

well, going to bed at midnight and waking up at 4am feeling like I'd slept for 12 hours was a pretty nice side effect

Gavin's protocol worked well for me too. I have a very hard time putting on size and he steered my in the right direction several times.

and there it is...

Good dose of slin + good amount of food = good size, a bit of an increase in the midsection

large doses of slin + stupid amount of food (all that "take 20 iu in the morning, slam 200 grams of carbs, then another 150 grams of carbs 1 hour later, then 20 iu of slin after training and slam 200 grams of carbs again, then another 200 grams 1 hour later") = ugliest physique you can imagine... what would you expect with 700 grams of carbs (2800 cals) just to counteract the onset of hypoglycemia?

oh, and GH... If i were to use it, i'd either use 4 iu per day for the "look"... or blow all my vacation money on 16 weeks worth of a good blast ;)

P.S. if you're planning to use it, i'd save enough money to buy some good old pharma grade GH...

Slin + GH

I figured that:

*Slin + AAS = Big but also fat

*Slin + AAS + GH = Big and Lean. Enables BB to eat more carbs and keep using slin all the way up to shows, keeping size on stage.

??
