Saw Palmetto

Does anyone use Saw Palmetto. I have been taking it for several months to keep prostate issues at bay.

i use it regularly....cant really tell much of a difference but continue to use just to be safe......ive recently been looking into using finasteride for next cycle to help with hair and prostate.....i use saw palmetto at 2x the suggested dose while on cycle.....i also take a multivitamin that contains lycopene for prostate health

I have been using Saw Palmetto for about 6 months at the recommended dosage and I don't feel any different as I still get up several times during the night to pee.

I took 1 gram twice a day while on tren and it definitely helped.

Ive used it in the past and have also noticed a difference. Its too cheap not to add if you notice symptoms of prostate inflammation. Zinc & pumpkin seeds also can help.

If you are going to use saw palmetto be sure to use saw palmetto that uses the C02 extraction method. There are many cheap forms of saw palmetto which obviously effects efficacy greatly. Its not like we are talking about a drug here which is standardized. So you can't just say "saw palmetto" like all brands and forms are equal. You have to give consideration to the brand and the extraction method. A lot of dumb asses will just pick up "saw palmetto" at the local CVS and wonder why it does nothing. C02 extraction method, it should say on the bottle. Doctor's Best is a good brand for example.

Saw palmetto works to some extent, but if you want something that really works try Avodart(dutasteride). It will really shrink your prostate, even when on testosterone. However that is up to 250mg. a week. Over that and it is less effective without increasing the standard dose of .5 mg. a day. It is expensive, but I have found that the Generic version made by Cipla(India) seems to be just as effective as the major brand at less than half the price.

I have taken saw palmetto for the last 20 years. 2-360mg gel 80% extract standardized caps twice a day. Morn and nite. I had to go to a urologist because I was hitting the bathroom several times each night. 3-4 times. My doc said at the time and to this very day that my prosate is normal. I have nocturia (sp?) its a restiction of the capillaries down under, that make me feel like I have to go to the bathroom. I cannot hold liquid for long. I was given proscar & hytrine but it didn't help. Saw Palmetto relaxed my urge to go frequently at night. Since its natural I have had no side affects from long term use. It really helps while i'm using test. Without it I feel like my prostate is being choked.

Personally I'm not a fan of it. Every time I try it,,,even different brands,,,I end up getting sore nipples.

It was suggested to me when I was having problems urinating while on. It starting working for me in a few days and my prostate was back to normal.
