Soy Protein = Yum?

I’ve been trying to get some other forms of protein into my diet after 30 years of killing pretty much every type (just need a break or some more variety TBH) and stumbled across “soy meat” = “Boca Burger ground beef”

Call me crazy but it’s really good (or maybe I’m just desperate lol)

Is soy the boogey man it was once thought it was? I may eat this once/day for awhile.

Can’t answer your question m but the wife and I enjoy a boca burger every now and then. I don’t see any issue with it. The black bean ones are delicious.

In all sincerity some are pretty damn good.

We have a small local chain “spiral diner” in Dallas. All vegan restaurant. They won an award for the best mac and cheese in the city, an award 100% deserved.

They have come a long way.
Here in Japan soybeans are a staple in many forms. My wife can't stomach whey and the soy protein she uses works very well and she says it tastes great (she's very picky).

Somewhat ironically vegan food is hard to find here and foreigners are often confused by this with the prevalence of soybean dishes.

Boca Burger is so yesterday

Beyond Burger is state of the art. Must be eaten to be believed.

Just had one the other night with tater tots. Damn. My wife is a
vegan and she is dragging me along, albeit it kicking and screaming.
(I did have a salmon patty with rice and veggies tonight but I had
to cook the salmon myself.)
