Certainly not a good thing for relationships like that to form I think, but one lady's actions don't disqualify all of them. I am sure each year men are disciplined for committing adultery in the service, does that make them all unfit to serve?

I would not argue for women to serve in roles that would involve close combat that might require hand to hand combat but being a sniper that is 100s of yards away from their target is a good role IMO. A woman can shoot a rifle just as well as a man once they are trained.

I'm not trying to argue the fact that women can and are useful in the military. IMO they're just a liability in combat. Men dont look at women the same in combat. Men will react differently when women are injured in combat and not follow SOP.

I've been there and done it. I dont even think women should be translators outside the wire.

No doubt in my mind i've seen plenty of women shoot paper targets. Shooting at the range =/shooting in combat.

My opinion on the whole thing "men should serve" is that its a privilege to live in America and be an American citizen. I think giving something back to a country that provides unlimited opportunities.

On the other hand i do think there are special circumstances that some shouldnt have to. I dont want Bill Gates in combat. I want him changing the world.

Its a difficult topic. I try and be unbiased as I can and view topics from both view points.
