The DNA of the gametes, egg and sperm, can sometimes get a mutation. this would be rare enough though, and not depend on something like taking steriod etc. Usually happens when there is an error during meiosis. Like down's syndrome, when there is 2 copies of chromosome 21 present in one gamete. Its usually the egg I believe.

when my girlfriend went through cancer treatment--chemo and radiation--her hair changed from straight to curly when it grew back...i asked the oncologist about this, as hair straightness/curliness is genetically determined...she (the oncologist) said that the chemo changed her dna. i suppose that this change can be classified as a mutation...there are as well other factors that can cause mutation, and thus a change in DNA.

carbon, say graphite, when subjected to tremendous pressure and heat can 'mutate' into a diamond. its still carbon, just a different form. it is no longer graphite, yet still carbon.

'Your DNA code', and the DNA in your sperm are 2 different things tho.. Your DNA in your cells is constantly being used to make new cells.. But the DNA in your sperm is basically just sitting there on standby.. I dunno how credible it is, but there was a study done about males who smoke.. Supposedly changes can occur in the DNA sequence in the sperm, and these mutations would then be passed onto the offspring.. Not sure how true this is, but I don't see how it wouldn't be possible for mutations to occur in sperm, however rare it may be.. Yes your DNA code is theoretically set in stone when you're conceived, but that doesn't guarantee that something can't happen during the course of your life.. And if something does happen to it, that's still your DNA now..

Another thing to keep in mind is that if even a few thousand cells mutate and become cancerous, say in your skin, it does not mean that your DNA has changed, Just the DNA in those very few cells. All of the millions of others in your body remain the same original DNA, which you would call "your DNA".

There is NO evidence out there that a father taking steroids could have mutated sperm that would then pass that off to his offsrpring. I suppose it is possible, but hey it is just as possible with people that take aspirin or any other med. Most drugs out there do not affect this. The only way steroids could affect a baby would be if a pregnant mother were taking them. The fetus could become masculanized if it were female.
