I used the beef iso for awhile when it first came out..got some pretty solid results..I was using it strictly with my PWO shakes..But I talked with Carl from TP and he same that the beef iso has a slower absorption rate, more of a mid level, it fits in somewhere btw their whey CF and they casein...So used as a mid day meal RP or snack would be good..or incorporate it in a blend with a hydro quicker release pro. I switched back to a 50/50 hydro/whey CF mix and it's awesome...doesn't taste the greatest but the coco choc and choc PB cup mask the hydros bitterness pretty well
I swore on TP's beef pro iso for about 8 months but i considering the mid absorbtion rate i noticed that it would sit in my stomach for hours. felt like casein. so i stopped using it. i had some left after about 6 months of not using it and out of desperation and lack of options i had to use it. i think it goes bad. effed up my stomach really bad!
Seemed like a great product in theory, but the real world results don't seem to carry out that vision. I did get the runs for the first week of usage, but that symptom strangely went away for good after that initial period. I'd say it's a better MRP option than straight whey if used as a meal, but doesn't make sense PWO to me.
I get it unflavored and then add it to soups.
Man it tastes good.
I really haven't thought of it as a long acting protein-but if it's like casein it may be a cheaper (price) alternative to use at night time before bed.
I ordered 6 pounds of chocolate flavored beef protein from TP and gotta say am absolutely loving it. I use it twice a day between my meals with 1-2 tbsps of evoo or evco or have it with raw oatmeal and a cup of raw milk. Love the taste, texture and the fact that you aren't hungry 30mins later after having it.
