Ok, it's been a long time since I've messed with this stuff and I really just have no idea how to do it anymore. What I'm trying to do is figure out how to calculate VO2 Max. Here's the formula.
VO2 max= (cardiac output max) x (oxygen extraction max)
Cardiac output is the amount of blood that flows from each ventricle in one minute. It is determined by two factors, heart rate and stroke volume. (Stroke volume is the amount of blood pumped from each ventricle each time the heart beats.)
Oxygen extraction is the amount of oxygen taken from hemoglobin and used in exercising muscles.
So, does anyone know how to calculate stroke volume and oxygen extraction?
