Today I was shooting into my quads when I noticed a chunk of something in the syringe, I immediatley pulled it out and low and behold there was a nice sized chunk of rubber stopper in the syringe. It seems that when I used an 18 guage to draw up it sheared some of the rubber off and sucked it up and I damn near injected it. I shot the remaining gear down the sink and sure enough the chunk went thru the 21g. It would have been a certain abcess. So watch out guy's...

In the future, draw with a large pin like a 20g and then switch to a 25g to inject. If you do this, any rubber stopper piece won't be able to get back through the smaller pin.

At least that is what I have heard.

Yeah really a 21g-owwww!
I use a 23g, 18g to draw.
But Im pretty damn sure Ive shot that stuff,
and Ive never had a problem.
And Ive heard other guys say the same.
But I always worry about it...

I usually draw with a 23g and shoot with a 25g this allows me to slowly push the stuff into my muscles.

I used the same 18 gauge syringe one time for ten weeks. That was many moons ago and I had no idea what I was doing.

Damn... 18g is like a harpoon! I only use 21g 1.5 for quads anything else takes too long to push thru.

I draw with a 18 and shoot with a 20! I got the glutes for it, (plus I get the pins from work)but I look out for any possible contamination also
