Sounds like you're at about 3500 kcal / day (before and w/ new diet), which is about maintenance kcal for someone your size (unless you work heavy construction or are a bike courier... 8^) )
You've PM'e me a good idea to stay at that kcal level and just add cardio. This ought to spur some fat loss for a while. If need be, you can drop kcal slightly if your fat loss stops (or add more cardio).
The carb <-> fat exchange could be a good on when you're dieting as MikeS said (personally helps me w/ appetite control), but if your kcals stay the same (in terms of kcal 100 g less carbs ? 50g more fat), and you were gaining on the prev. diet, you'll need to do the cardio to lean up.
