dieting and sleep ... what a pain !!

Dieting since 13 days now, damn I forgot how much low carbs and cardio can trouble my sleep !!

I go to bed at around 12AM and wake up EVERY NIGHT at 2.30AM !!!!! EVERY NIGHT
I wake up sweating, hungry lol, and I can 't sleep again before 4 or 5 !!!

what a joy to diet ... hopefully my delts are getting more cut since 1-2 days and I see that my diet and cardio start to do their job :D
 
I have been dieting now too for slightly over 2 weeks and im in the same boat with you. I had less then 4 hours of sleep last night I don't even feel I have energy to train or for cardio today. You can try to take Melatonin and ZMA to get more tired at night. I ran out of ZMA recently but it seemed to help when I took it.

Well if you want to become a big mofo like Poppa Pump and ripped, you have to diet. I hear you bro, I just started myself. What does your diet look like?

I will have to try the ZMA tip.

I'm currently on cycled (sp?) low carb diet

and I spend my life on a treadmill :D

Guys, the BEST no prescription sleep aid EVER is Gravol. It's for motion sickness, but a tab puts you to sleep & keeps you asleep. The next day, no groginess & it's non addictive. I used to use restoril & Zoplicon for sleeping when I dieted, but Gravol works waaaaay better.
 
I haven't been on a diet for cutting... but about 1 hour or 30 minutes before bedtime take the combo of Melatonin and ZMA. It almost always works...
 
melatonin doesn't do shit in my case ...
 
remeron is awesome for sleep and turns it is somewhat anti-catabolic
 
Try making a big as protien shake before bed. Your supposed to have protien+fat before bed. Sometimes i'll do like 3scoops choc whey with 2tbsp natural peanutbutter in the blender with a shitload of ice. Tons of ice and water to the point where its like a 50oz smoothie. Helps keep you full for about an hr so you can fall asleep. Also sometimes some sugar free jello and popsicles help too. That stuff wont make a diff unless your contest dieting and a few weeks out.
 
somtimes when I wake up at night hungry while dieting I will have 30 grams of glutimine and this seems to help with carb cravings

5 HTP

Same issue bro. 2 hours of the cold sweats is never a pleasure to start your day of right. I have the same madness. It sucks. I have found 5 HTP to be extemely benefitial though. I have used the Apex products and it works for me. It also kills your appetite. So great thing at night.
 
When i was using clen/t-3 the only thing that was helping me was benadryl...Which made me drink even more water during the day...

Same boat, but Im 3 weeks out from my show. I cant sleep but an hour or two here and there. Hell as EDGE250, I think I emailed him 20 times in the middle of the night last night..LMAO.

I just look at it as part of the game/madness.
