Who feels that it is necessary to split macros into protein/fat and protein/carb when dieting?

Well.....

Dc advocates keeping all protein/fat, and protein/carb meals seperate. Obviously to a degree that is impossible, there is fat in all cuts of meat regardless. You can read up on it over on IM.

I have a sneaking suspicion he's already aware of DC diet principles... that's just Dante's way of putting out general recommendations for people that he feels are safe.

I have trained DC style under SuperD at IM (very successfully may I add, God Bless that man haha) and have always (whether bulking or cutting) seperated my meals into P/F and P/C. I think that helps me a lot as far as keeping track of my overall macros/calories and also keep some excess adipose off.

The main reason I ask during cutting is because since I am in a caloric defecit anyway, will my body still be able to utilize the nutrients without storing fat as it would when taking excess calories above maintenance. I also thought that since fats slow digestion, maybe that would also allow my body longer amout of time to utilize the nutrients ingested.

Obviously these meals would not contain a large amount of both C/F, but would there be and benefit of having a small amount of both or would this just deter the fat burning process?

Sorry.....

Just trying to spread to DC knowledge. :) I do not know my body well enough to give any advice on that. I did read a book....that advocates having all the macros in every meal. Burn the fat not the muscle, or something like that. 40/50/10 ratio something like that. This was also set up for someone reducing there maintenance cals by roughly 20% for dieting purposes. Haven't tryed it though.

This guy is having carbs, protein and fats in every single meal
