difference between ephedra, ephedrine and ephedrine hcl?

whats the difference. i have been searching all over for ephedra and all i am really finding if ephedrine hcl...i thought i read ephedrine hcl is something like ephedra extracts or something...someone help me out here? are they all the same thing? is one better for fat loss? this is for my first eca stack...

Most people claim they are basically the same and have the same effect. Personally... i do not agree.
I do not get NEAR the kick out of Hcl as i did the extract.

I have been adding 2 hcl to my ripped fuel and its not as powerful as the old school kind in my opinion.

although jj insane has his opinion- I disagree- I have gotten great results with ephedrine hcl with some caffeine and aspirin and it is clutch when you need it for energy and some fat burn 2-4 weeks out from a show- but this is from my experience- nothing will burn fat more better then a diet and cardio!

WOW...this is a good question...as long as I've been taking all of them or the ones still available I can't say I could honestly tell the difference although Guafesin(hope I spelled that right)gives Me heartburn

I also have to agree about ephedrine hcl working worse than ephedra alkaloids (approx 20mg ephedrine. I just noticed a better fat burning effect with say xenedrine than my homemade ECA stack. 25mg Ephedrine 200mg Caffiene and 81mg Aspirin.

I am running an ECA stack here for two weeks to slim down a bit. I have noticed I get nauseated in the am after my first dose. (I am taking 325 asa, 200mg caff, 20mg ephed three times a day)

I have no issues with any other dosing, but first thing in the am. I take the stuff as soon as I get up. I shower, cook my breakfast and pack food for the day. By the time I get to eat (~30-45min after taking the stuff) I can hardly finish my oatmeal. Do you think my ephedra is going bad (~2y old???). Anyone have any ideas??

the eca was originally designed for hcl way before any alkaloids came to life. i guess people respond differently cause hcl was the only way to go for me. effedra...hmmm not much. i think the alkaloids were formulated just to slide into the supplement market without any fda problems. on the other hand hcl is sold as a drug.

HCL works great for pre contest dieting before I begin my last two weeks on clenbuterol, I have used both types and they have worked the same IMO

I agree with bulldog- I used xenadrine and it was awesome- I used clen, and ephedrine hcl- but truthfully hcl is a lot cheaper and imho better than all with some caffeine and some aspirin- it gives a great kick but wears off when you get used to it- either kick it up to more or switch it with clen or just keep it constant it will still burn fat but just not give that energy kick cuz your body will be used to it- try it out and see for urself to get the best opinion

The alkaloids have been around for thousands of years, from China!
The typical dose in the old ECA premade stacks was 20mg eph, whereas
the pure eph HCL is 25mg.
