Just wanted to start a new thread on prep time need for a show ???

Give me how many weeks you do, and how you break up your prep ???

For example -

For me I'lll do a 16 week prep (normally but cause I keep changing up shows, this year it's longer...LOL !!!) The first 8 weeks I do alot of growing or working on my weak points...I get leaner, but Im also really focusing on growing into the show...The last 8 weeks are for getting rid of the bodyfat (I normally at this point dont have alot) so it's alot of fine tuning, and getting to ripped conditioning...

Just thought this would be a good thread, cause we are in the middle of season for shows...

16 for me.

The first 3-4 weeks are geared toward getting use to the cardio, food, timing, etc.....but from 12-13 weeks out til the show its trying to become a fat burning machine while maintaining, if not adding, muscle.
 
Lots of factors - starting bodyfat percentage, how the offseason went, supplement status, etc.

I've done 13, 16, 18, and right now I'm doing a 12 week prep.
 
first show...16 weeks, 2nd show 12 weeks, 3rd show 13 weeks.
 
for me..

18 weex I started out.... did 2 shows. 15 weeks for natls

20-22 for me. it allows ample time to grow and make changes all the way through without stressing out about shit.
 
This time around I did 13 weeks to Jr's + 6 weeks to USA's=19 weeks
I like 20 weeks, slow and steady.
 
10 weeks is my best time frame.
 
20 weeks out tighten diet to only quality foods, but a lot of it!!
12 weeks 1/2 carbs
10 weeks 1/2 carbs again.
Coast into show, growing!!

20 Weeks normally but with everything that happened I will have dieted 27weeks....I sometimes look back and think about it and wonder how i have made it this long...LOL:p :D

All I can see now is competeing and eating sushi...that is about all my mind is filled with...LOL

Ya, well us sending each other messages about where we're eating after and how there is a krispy kreme right in our hotel is probably just feeding the fire at this point, but oh well, dreaming about it is giving me hope... aghghgggg..... dooooonnnnnnnuuuuuutttttttttsssssssssssssssssssssssss....

LOL....I enjoy the back and forth texts....It gives me hope that there is a future beyond beef, brocolli, and natural peanut butter which seems to be only thing on the menu day in adn day out...LOL..
