Absolutely agree. It's time for parents to start being parents and quit worrying about trying to be friends with their kids.

Heck yeah. Another thing I see too much in the field of education is teachers that do not have enough discipline over their students. Much of the authority of teachers though has been taken away. Teachers cannot spank a student any longer ,and if they were to they would lose their job and face jail time for child abuse. Heck, some people in this country would call for this uncle to be charged with child abuse! These days I think many new parents are afraid to use strict discipline and corporal punishment.

I agree with the spirit of your statements but I wouldn't want anyone putting their hands on my kid(s) for ANY reason. That's a parent's/guardian's job.
