off topic..? What movies made you cry??

I've never seen The Notebook, but I think I'll have to rent it now. There are only a few movies that actually made me cry.

First when I was a kid: Project X with matthew brodrick. I really didn't enjoy watching monkeys flying flight simulator planes while getting fried from radiation poisoning, lol.

And then Life as a House- the perfect chick flick for guys. I was holding up well until the very end when you find out what happens to the house. Then I absolutely lost it. There was no one around to see it, but I'm not sure if that was a good or bad thing. Had to pound a couple beers to "straighten up" after that film.

Rocky Balboa the first time at the theater.

(Also, The Notebook, but my wife was watching it, many times before I finally sat through it. Very moving ... along the same lines of Rocky Balboa, Rocky loses his wife and first love, Adrian.)

Crash - when the store owner is about to shoot the locksmith and his daughter runs out the front door and jumps into her Dads (the locksmiths) arms to protect him because she is wearing the invisible magic cape that he gave her...and she says " dont worry daddy ill protect you"...Damn being that I have 2 daughters that part really gets me hard...

Any of you guys have any movies that made you tear up a bit??

Sometimes tears of joy, sometimes tears of sadness. I have a few...

pursuit of happiness. I thought it was real sad when will smith had no place to stay and him and his son stayed in a bathroom. That scene made me tear up a bit.

Neways I am looking for some real emotional movies to take back so i wanted to know some more.. your choices. rember both sad and happy movies.

footloose ;)

three that get me every time I watch them..
(spoilers to some of them below title)

1. Glory -

Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman and Matthew Broderick lay down their lives for freedom while fighting in the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Regiment during the American Civil War.

2. Somewhere in Time -

Christopher Reeve is in this and stars with Jane Seymour who find and lose love through the bending of time itself.

3. The Hurricane -

Denzel again stars in the epic TRUE STORY of Reuben "Hurricane" Carter, the former #1 contender for the middleweight title, who finds himself in a lifelong battle with the New Jersey courts while behind prison bars.
Decades come and go as do celebrities that try to fight for his appeal.
Nearly 20 years after he is incarcerated. A young boy reads a book Ruben writes while in jail- "The 16th round".
This boy then embarks on a grueling mission to find a way to exonerate Reuben carter of the crimes he has been accused of.
I find this story amazing beyond words..

and now no one make fun of me please...lol3
But I cry any time I watch the cartoon "The last Unicorn" lol
Yes I know its a little girlie movie but sorry its too damn cute and special to not cry at the end :p

Somewhere in time.... WOW I thought I was the olny person in the
world who accaully saw this movie. Seen it about fifteen or so times
and balled like a baby. Great movie, music score was fantastic,
considered Most underrated movie ever. As far as a love story this
has got to be one of the best.

"Cinema Paradiso", Italian film from about 1990. The first half can be a tad tedious (but often charming), but the second half is really romantic and increasingly tearjerking. And I have met no one who can stay dry-eyed through the final 5 minutes (sort of a surprise ending). PS: Great date flick.

If you rent it, watch the shorter, original release (vs. the longer director's cut or whatever) first.

"An Inconvenient truth" by Al Gore. I still get tears in my eyes if I think about that poor ice bear on his melting iceberg.
