Protein RTD`s... can they be made by us?

any of you guys know much about it?
Would it be possable for an inividual to make up his own Rtd`s seal em up etc?

using the muscle milk Rtd as an example..... Is there a special process to it?
could one just mix up his own blend and buy the individual containers and
fill and seal them? Just shake em before un sealing them?
or would it just not work?

you could seal containers filled with the powder ad then just add water but when you leave protein mixed with water it gets pretty nasty after about an hour. I learned that one the hard way

Thats what Im trying to get an understanding of.......
Is it in a special solution? the ones I just bought (muscle milk rtd)
says there good untill Jan 07.

Im guessing there is a special process to it??
any knowledgable bros that could clue me in? Is it possable to do ourselves?

RTDs

hey rajjin, those rtd protein drinks like muscle milk are super pasteurized, they have been heated at high temps to kill all bacteria and then hermetically sealed. So it's really not possible as far as I know to do it yourself, you would need a special set up. Pasteurization like that allows the produt to be shelf stable at room temperature which is why it won't spoil when unopened. Hope that helps bro.

Osmo has some ready made drinks that arte really good. they are powder in a bottle and u just add water or milk and shake. i use to get them all the time. then just saved the bottles, washed em out and got the same powder in jug form and refilled the bottles with powder. it made life much simpler.

Naw..nothing like that, Just for conveniance.
Working long hours them things are just handy to grab first thing in the am
and great for breaks and to have with lunch, midnight snack etc

No dirty cups or blender, Just makes it easier for me at times to have the rtds

Like mentioned above put the dry powder in a shaker bottle and take with you.
I used to take 2-4 a day with me everywhere, no matter where you are add fluid shake and go-never miss a meal-or eat junk in place because this is handy.
I don't like the RTD's they taste funny and protein bars aren't good as a replacment meal either and in the end it's the quality of the protein that counts vs the sheer amount. I got like 20 of them LOL-make sure to rinse them out though with soap and water and don't leace them laying around.

I like the Musclemilk readys.. I just dont like that there 3$ a pop
for only 32g of protein.
I think what Ill do is look for some type of disposable
cups so I dont have to try and re-use or wash em.
Ill Just load a bunch of them up and add milk or water as suggested.
why didnt I think of that

Atlas is correct.

You can make those drinks for home use....but even then you should not make them too far in advance. Protein and sugars are a good mix for bacteria. Companies that produce those products for sale usually use pateurization and other methods to keep microbial levels low.

dude, try this out.. all you gotta do is find some NEW empty water bottles.. 20oz works great.. fill em with your powder.. then cap em.... then when you need it... add water.....

works wonders.. and you can add more than just protein powder... if you want to add some extra carbs works great too..

i use this method.... TONS CHEAPER THAN THE premade ones..
