what is the difference between arimidex and aromasin?

Additionally, can I substitue arimidex for either Nolvadex or Clomid?

Here's my schedule for PCT for a Test E only cycle:
wk 13 - 40mg nolva+ 100mg clomid daily
wk 14 - 30mg nolva+ 50mg clomid daily
wk 15 - 20mg nolva+ 50mg clomid daily

Ok. arimidex is an AI just like aromasyn but that is about all they have in common. a-dex is non-steroidal and effective at decreasing aromatase activity by around 50%. Exemestane (Aromasin) is steroidal and much more aggressive with decreasing over 80%. Aromasin does not have the negative effect on lipids that a-dex does but a-dex seems more positive effect on serum testosterone levels.

Nolvadex and Clomid are a totally different classification as selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) designed to combat breast tumors by defeating receptors in the breasts and other areas. Nolva can be used at much lower doses than clomid and without the visual impairment that some experience with clomid.

so AI - blocks estrogen "at the source" by preventing conversion
SERM's - blocks gyno indirectly by preventing the circulating estro from binding to the receptor

For your use in PCT, I would go with HCG for restoring testicles and nolva OR clomid AND a-dex OR aromasin. But HCG with nolvadex really should be enough.

Perhaps someone has had good experience with combining different AI's or combining different SERM's. I have not.

IMO, if your going to try to use an AI in PCT it has to be for no more than the first two weeks of PCT then either continue/switch to a SERM(Clo, nolv)fpr the rest, 3-? depending on cycle and length.

arimidex (anastrozole)and aromasin (exemestane) are very similar in the sense they block the enzyme aromatase from converting testosterone to estrogen from what i have seen the aromasin is slightly more effective than the anastrozole
