Whey Protein absorption

Exactly how fast does Whey Protein Isolate in water absorb in the gut? I am asking this because I take 100g PWO to get as much in the anabolic window as possible, but if it takes 45 mins to absorb, I'm missing out.
 
Anyone?? If it is slower than 15 mins, it would make sense to take a whey only shake DURING the workout to maximize post work out absorption.
 
Try Raw Goats milk

I add strawberrys into the milk and it helps a lot with the taste! It is absorbed within 15-20 minutes. A lot faster than whey or casein from what I understand. Plus no more feeling bloated from milk!
 
Whey should be broke down and in your blood stream within 45 min! If I were you I would take only 40grams of straight whey with 100grams of dextrose PWO! Take 20-40grams of just whey before your workout so that you will have aminos readily available during your workout. There is a chance that if you do not already take in whey before your workout you could be breaking down muscle tissue to support the muscles that are presently being worked...the body just sucks like that! I say that you should only take 40grams of straight whey PWO because you won't be able to utilize much more than that in an hour or so. If you want you can take in casein whey along with the isolate so that you will have a quick amino release from the isolate and a 4-6 hour release from the casein!! If your body does end up using more aminos in that hour it will have some of the casein available. The casein will start breaking down immediately but it lasts in the gut much longer.
 
Hmm, if it is 45 mins then to get the best effect it would make sense to take in 40 - 80 grams DURING workout so that you will be absorbing pwo. I take some other goodies PWO to maximize the anabolic window so I can probably absorb more than your average bear.
 
Hey it's pretty much all trial and error for everyone. I'm just stating what I know, everyone acts differently. No matter how much research is done there is always exceptions! You are right in your theory of taking the whey during the workout...it does seem like that would be the optimal way. But I honestly have never heard of people doing it that way...but try it out and maybe you'll get great results! Good luck.
