Your breathing Details in between reps

ive noticed inbetween reps, varyies with diff lifts, as well as we can go diff speeds with them.

for ex. in the sqaut i have done breathing were i only breathe in once going down and out once going up, but i have done multiple good breaths in the process of going down and exhale one as going up, i think i get more performance with more breathing,

another point when doing like presses in one of the last set of the lower weigth super sets, i can do way more reps quiker than i can breathe with a pattern were i will exhale on a push up, so timing breathing is out

just some thoughts, how do you breathe in your reps
 
I typically breathe in during the concentric portion of the movement and breathe out during the eccentric portion. This will sometimes change when I'm either lifting in a very heavy, low rep range or toward the end of a set, when I might breathe a couple of extra breath during the negative to get a bit more oxygen to help me finish the set. A couple of extra breaths can mean a couple of extra reps.
 
my coach always used to say explosive exhailing positive, controlled inhaling negative...
 
depends what i'm doing as in how intense.....if it's very very very intense I'll be taking double breaths at each con-ecc point. if that makes any sense. this general comes into play on a workout lasting 3-10 minutes with zero rest and will depend on the exercise being done ie: thrusters, squats, leg press, power clean, clean and jerk etc.
