Recovery after 3yrs of TRT***Update***

I was on TRT from 24-27. I recently came off about 1.5-2m ago and my Total T was 212. I started HCG at 400ius eod and adex .25mgsed. I followed this for a couple weeks and then dropped the HCG to 200iu eod, then 200iu 2xw wk. I have sprinkled clomid in there a bit but even low doses seem to affect my vision. Anyways, I just got BW done yesterday and the results were pretty good!

E: 19.3 (7.6-42.6)
Total T 596 (348-1197)
LH 4.3 (1.7-8.6)
FSH 2.3 (1.5-12.4)
Progesterone .7 (.2-1.4)

I also tested a COMPLETE 0 on a sperm test 1.5yrs into TRT. I had nothing. I would have a hard time believing that with those numbers i have not recovered at least some fertility. It looks like the whole loop is functioning again. However, when I drop the HCG….if I can drop the HCG…it will be interesting to see how the body responds then. I plan on dropping HCG and continuing low dose clomid 12.5mgs ed for another month or two than retest. I hope this helps some people with their perspective on possible recovery from TRT.

Did you experience a lot of muscle loss or more or less then you expected. In addition are you now using any supplements to help things along in addition to what you are using now.

I don't mean to be a dick but this is absolutely worthless without your baseline number. Do you have your pre trt tesults or any redts while you were on trt. Those numbers have abdolutely no value and could be both good or bad depending on your normal levels.

i really dont think the numbers are worthless it shows that someone can have a decent recovery after 3 years of being shutdown.

Without a base line you have no clue. What if his normal test levels are 1200 or what if his natural levels are 500? You don't know shit without a baseline.

Do you mean some people don't get shut down? As in maintaining their baseline levels while using exogenous test.

It's a valid question….harsh, but valid. I'm was on TRT brah, you think I don't know my baseline…? I was off all meds and test for about 1 month and got BW. My Total T was 212. Also LH and FSH were always .5 or below while on TRT. You CAN recover from TRT for all those guys wondering. I know there is a bunch of young guys out there who made the same mistake i did. I got on TRT initially because my T level was 200s after being off of everything for a year. As far as muscle loss, I haven't lost much if any but I have gained fat. I researched my test subject with 2mg IGF DES and also a bit of CJC/GHRP during its rebound time. I took the test around 5pm and took .25adex (pharm grade) in the morn, the clomid (liquid) I had only been on for two days at 12.5mg, and the HCG (pharm grade) had been 3-4 days prior at 200mcgs. I hope that helps. What will be interesting is so see if my body can recover on its own W/OUT meds at all. Its a long shot. But I want to have kids so if I have to go back on TRT, at least I know it is possible to come off Test, feel good, and have the endocrine system functioning for that period of time. Tonight I took 12.5 clomid and 200iu HCG. I will be taping off HCG and adex and running 12.5 clomid solo then a couple months later taper off that. I also take Zinc aspertate ED as well.

And of course I was shut down Cowboy. All these guys are saying is that its cool that I can be in normal ranges after suppressing my system for so long. FYI, a 0 sperm count is a HUGE red flag for being shutdown and/or having LH/FSH deficiency. I have no reason to believe that my little swimmers shouldn't be building up again. Does anyone know of a place to get sperm count w/o insurance? I don't think private MD does it.

Forgot to answer you. Well I want to have kids and I feel like I was put on TRT to young and didn't explore options. I want to find out all the options I have at this point in my life. Also, endo visits w/o insurance and BW is expensive. Test/hcg/adex/nolva scripts weren't bad but it's still an extra expense that I would rather do without. My normal doc said last week that he would prescribe me HCG or Test C if my experiment din't work. He didn't want to prescribe Adex and was worried about clomid because of the side effects. So i'm stuck with only those two options as far a doc script goes.

TRT doses are usually around 100 MG per week. That is what a doctor would prescribe. Well, he will probably put you on gel to start. TRT doses are meant to put you in a healthy normal range. You are only put on TRT doses if you are low to begin with and not many Doctors want to do that will a young guy. Why would you be shut down if you were on TRT dose?

It's early in the morning and maybe i'm not reading OP correctly but your saying you were shut down during HRt . My question is why were you put on hrt to begin with? Did you use AAS before you were put on HRt. And as KSCowboy said Where is your baseline results? I'm on HRt and did not use aas before being on hrt. My baseline levels were total T 47 free T 0.9 . This is what DR. based my need for hrt on.

Sorry i missed this post. Like i said its early in morning and just now hav
ing my coffee. Anyway i,ve tried to come off hrt using clomid, nolva and hcg and i never did recover. My Dr. told me i would always need Hrt therapy.

All in all it's good news. I've been on for almost 3 years straight. Not doc prescribed, just blast and cruise. My decision. LH and FSH shot to shit. I want to have kids in about a year. Good to know this worked for you.

First u don't recover from HRT, it's a treatment for low testosterone. Your negative feedback loop is not functioning correctly hence the HRT. It seems like it's working right now but once u take away the HCG ur back where u started. If u scored a zero on ur sperm count test that means u have azoospermia. Unfortunately there is little u can do, u should talk to a specialist and exore ur options. Good luck
