It's possible, but it requires consciously progressively overloading you food each year just like you do with weights.
I had days in the fall when I was putting down over 8,000 calories and 85% of that was clean food. To get there for most guys you're looking at intraworkout protein and carbs, a big postworkout shake (ex. 85g protein and 150g carbs), protein and carb shakes with your whole food meals, etc. As I've gotten bigger and bigger I've found there's a limit to whole food I can put down without slowing digestion and that's where liquid calories come in. Obviously insulin is going to be needed to put all that to use and using a small dose of thyroid hormone (ex. 100mg T4 and 12.5mcg T3) also helps.
